Also Fornals had a shocker, but I think he needs some help mentally as he is just not right. I hope people at the club can see that, maybe he should speak to Mark's shrink.

3 games to go (not 23)

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread
did find it very annoying listen to his post match interview.

As if he realised they were getting tired why did he wait so long to let some of the benchwarmers have a game.
No point doing this with 23 games to go.

Also why play them all at the same time and not integrate different people at different time over the season.

Again he is showing his incompetence. We been doing Thursday / Sunday for months ...

Problem for Fornals. Is that he’s always been played out of position wide left by Moyes. He has no pace so should never be out wide. Lost all confidence and looks like he’s had enough. He’s probably forgotten what he was once good at when he first came to us as a Spanish U21 central midfielder

Fornals started all 3 cup games in March (FA Cup & ECL) and recently started league games against Crystal Palace & Man City this month as well as coming off the bench in most other games so to suggest he isn’t “warm enough” or ready to slot in is a load of bollocks.

Exactly- the like of Cornet, Downes and Fornals should have had some proper time on the pitch as part of the first team. Benny is rested one week for Fornals or whatever, Bowen another for Cornet, Soucek for Downes etc.

But he just hasn't been doing it. I sort of get it of late as every game has been must win, but earlier in the season etc. A good manager will keep everyone 'warm' and motivated and ready to slot in. It's clear that isn't happening here. Fornals is shot to pieces mentally over his treatment, Downes is clearly bemused, I don;t know why Cornet should give a shit given he's so peripheral. He's already burned bridges with Scamacca who no way comes back if Moyes is still in charge.

It's been a huge clusterfuck all season long with squad management, retation, subs and tactics.

I can imagine you setting up a petition, and handing out flyers about Allardyce, son, but that's not really my bag. I'll stick with having a moan up on here, cheers.

Tell you what ED... seeing as you are 'Proper' West Ham ... why dont you do something about it... as it's obviously something that bothers and upsets you day in day out... well do something about it... so perhaps use your time wisely ...stop following me around like a lovesick Puppy and get off this site and do something about it ... because you coming on here bleating and moaning about it is doing absolutely and utterly nothing... it's just showing you up as a whiny keyboard bitch... so be proactive eh... get a few petitions going... get some flyers issued out at the game... hit the press so it counter balances what they are saying ... like we did in '91.... but you won't will you... you'll just keep jumping on every post I put up on here .... yeah proper West Ham....

Firstly, I think you'll find Manuel has been critical of Moyes for a long time - Like many others. To say he's turned on Moyes after the Brentford is ridiculous.

Secondly, i would say, you have a point. We said he should rest player and he did. The big problems for everyone is - Why rest so many players? Why do our reserve players look like they've only just arrived at West Ham? And why can't Moyes coach / manage our squad efficiently so when we do have to rest our best players we can still go out and put in a performance and get a result?

It's almost like yesterday the match was lost before it was started. Alot of the players Moyes used yesterday were cold with next to no playing time in a month they look like they don't know how to play. So Moyes just sets them up to defend and hopes for the best.

We deserve much more.

If course it doesn't bother you son, you don't weigh out to go and watch that shit. Trust me, it's as bad, if not worse, than what we saw under Allardyce this season.

I didn't go yesterday, but those fans who make that journey and pay money deserve so much better. You watching it in the pub with your Arsenal/Spurs/Man Utd/Chelsea mates aren't gonna be that bothered. You're not proper West Ham anymore, son.

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Vicky - Fwiw, I didn't, I only saw the need to wrap Paqueta, Zouma and Antonio in cotton wool. Rice, Bowen, Benny should have started to give us a foot in in the game, he brought them on when it was 2-0 so they still could have got injured, right? I think this second leg is being way over-hyped if you ask me. All PL games are big games these days, you don't just throw them away, and why wasn't the starting side more motivated, it was a team full of experienced PL players, ffs.

But yea, agree it's probably better to ''move on'' from yesterday now.

Can’t see anything but us crashing out based on today’s showing.

Alkmaar seem to be bang in-form and have a couple of star players returning.

Really dreading it tbh.

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Manual,

You seem to have chosen a really odd game to turn on the manager.

Everyone was calling for a second string going into the game, and that's what we got. We were roundly beaten in what was a dead rubber, with even the fringe players trying to avoid injury.

It's a complete irrelevance as long as we get the job done on Thursday with a fresh first team.

Russ of the BML 11:48 Mon May 15

Yep, good post. It's not OK to put out a so called second string and get rolled over by Brentford, it's bollocks. And yes Moyes is completely out of his depth now in the modern game, he doesn't have the understanding, intelligence or the know how of how to manage PL football clubs in today's game. He really does have to go.

"As to the Brentford game itself, well they played like 11 strangers"

That's what happens when you have a manager that can't adequately coach or utilise a squad efficiently.

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I think after leaving the Boleyn seven years ago we should be in a better position to be able to juggle the PL and one cup comp.

For me, this raises issues with the bigger picture. Where are we as a club? Unable to put out a decent side and put in a good performance against Brentford in the PL because of a cup comp. Quite frankly its a fucking disgrace.

Sulli and Moyes recruitment has been shambolic and leaves us in this mess. Seven years after leaving the Boleyn to progress (apparently) we are only able to realistically compete for one competition.

And as for Moyes, well, need I say more. The bloke is just an utter fucking moron. His squad management is dire. Bringing in players cold with virtually zero game time in the last few weeks. Then, he sets them up like sitting ducks. Sitting back allowing Brentford to dominate possession and dictate tempo. Basically once again 'rope a dope football'.

Full of excuses at the end of the game about resting players blah blah blah. Still getting off almost scot free with the media for what can only be described as a 'tragic' approach to football.

Just fuck off Moyes.

Monster manager was right to play a load of reserves yesterday but don't you think they would have seen this as an opportunity to impress rather than a walk in the park. Everything is wrong with our coaching, I hope the scousers win tonight as I can't see us beating Leeds or Leicester with yellow back in charge..

"The midfield were as confused as fuck with Mubama making runs across the oppositions back line and repositioning himself so he can attack the ball from the back post when it was out wide."

That made me laugh.
