A big thanks to my good mate Gully, the original Watford Psycho for taking the time....

1 How has your season gone so far?

Not a good start, followed by a decent run, followed by some crap but overall, consistently inconsistent. To many heavy defeats for my liking.

2 Where do you think Watford will finish?

Mid table but with our budget, anything above 21st is success

3 Any hidden gems in your team?

Sean Murray - reportedly turned down a move to Man City as a schoolboy. Made his full debut against spurs in FA cup, and has massive potential. He can deliver quality balls into the box, which had been missing from our team, probably since Ashley Young left, although it’s far too early to be making comparisons like that.

4 Like us, you had a change of manager in the summer, how’s he done?

He's done OK. We lost last years player of the year, 27 goal Danny Graham and young player of the season, Will Buckley and not been able to reinvest the whole sum, so bought some experience and looked like he was trying to make us hard to beat. Has been accused of being frightened to play our youngsters but overall he's keeping us in the league, which is the priority

5 How do you think Watford will set up and play?

I think we'll try to stifle and be hard to beat. I think you’ll have lots of possession but we’ll try to make you play in front of us. Don’t expect huge gaps behind us.

6 Who's your danger man?

Hard to say really, Sean Murray and the young left winger, Kacaniklic, who we've got on loan from Fulham, if they both play.

7 What do you make of West Ham's season?

With a bit of consistency, you'd walk the league. The fact that you're not top of the league is probably an underachievement on your behalf but you should make automatic promotion.

8 Which West Ham players do you fear?

Kevin Nolan, especially his wages. If he played for us we'd be in administration within a month

9 Where do you think West Ham will finish?

With Big Fat Sam and the likes of Nolan and Carlton Cole, you should finish top, but definitely automatic promotion.

10 What do you make of the Portsmouth situation?

Sad for the fans but symptomatic of the mess football is in and the madness of the Premier League. Could so easily have been West Ham, thanks to the Icelanders and I have no doubt they’re only the first of many.

11 What do you think of Luton and their plight?

Luton? We used to be local rivals to a team called Luton. Last I heard they were in some pub league playing in front of 20 men and their dogs. On a serious note the points deduction that relegated them from the football league was scandalous and even as our rivals, I could not enjoy that. They were effectively relegated before a ball was kicked that season and that’s just not right. However, I will be very glad to never play them again. The hatred, vitriol and trouble that accompanies games against them is not something I want when I go to support my team.

12 Tell us an interesting fact about Watford.

West Ham related - Demba Ba failed a trial for us when Comical Aidy was in charge, probably too skilful to fit in with Aidy's style of football. We were the First club in England to have a proper electronic Scoreboard. QPR had a little one, and the same company built a larger one.

13 Score prediction?

Heart says we'll be celebrating a nil nil. Head says we'll lose, probably 2-0. I was abroad in our premiership season when we managed to win there twice but I've never seen Watford win at the Boleyn, I can't even remember seeing us score there.

14 What's your favorite flavour crisps?

Easy - McCoys Grilled Steak

oh come on. we weren't great, in fact we were awful.

But we were much the better team last night... Dominated the game, but albeit meaningless possesion.

We're crying out for a creative spark. Vaz Te should have started last night, he's as close as we've got.

Agreed. They were fucking atrocious, but we weren't any better. That's the most galling thing.

They had nothing (NOTHING) to offer last night.

Fucking disgrace playing for time after 10 minutes.

Still, they had a game plan, and it worked. So hats off to them.

From what I'm told, our Band 4 tickets aren't £20, so Watford are paying the same as us.

The bookies did and have to be pretty good at accessing things.

Don't think we have underachieved, more as others say, Southampton have been more dogged with preserving their early season momentum and home wins, that most (including the bookies), would've thought.

Leicester City have been the biggest underachievers - they showed with their performance and result at St Marys, what they're capable of - just been terribly inconsistent.

As this was posted before the games last night your post is pretty silly really

EXCRUCIATING games

Of a style that I would describe as the modern West Ham way

Notable as 2 of 8 appearances (2 draws and 6 defeats) by inspired signing and relegation jinx Nigel Quashie
