Reid as the senior experienced CB should have been marking Lukaku when Collins went of...not Burke...

Second goal was preventable...

First goal well taken...but also poor defending...Note both crosses came from Cresswell's side...

Monk - Sure I agree, he has done very well overall. Awful defending yesterday though and he shouldn't escape critsism for it.

PD

I like Cresswell. Great attitude and very good going forward. As a defender though he is not the best (certainly not Chelsea standard) and there have been a few goals across the season that have been the result of his error.

Still the best left back we have had for a while overall though.

Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-2
I realise that Cresswell is a player that cannot be critizised on here but his defending for BOTH goals was simply pathetic.

Anyhow, I'm way beyong caring now. Honestly don't give a fuck anymore.

Interesting comments by Fat Sam after the game on the reason we lost this week. "Went gung ho at 1-0 rather than see the game out". Well if that's the case Mr Allardyce either that's your fault for not barking tactical instructions out to the team, or you did and the players ignored you. Either way it just sums up his management of the Club.

It's all shit and annoying.

The problem with playing a youngster like Burke is that they need their sleep.
He was having a little nap while Everton scored both their goals.

Devastated might sound like an over reaction but i'm so disappointed. I'd love to say the problem for our slide is a combination of the loss of our two strikers and the uncertainty that has been put there by the owners which has caused a huge slide in loss of form and confidence but i've come to realise alot later than most admittedly that the manager has to be accountsble too and he has created his own downfall.

Our tactics have been woeful and we dont ever seem to learn from the same mistakes. Ptobsbly due to the sheer stubborness and arrogance of our manager. A fresh start with a new approach, new ideas and major surgery to the team in the summer (especially midfield area is required) otherwise i fear for us next season. As much as 8-10 need to be outed this summer with as many coming in.

Thanks for the past 4 seasons Sam. You got us up, you kept us up but now its time for you to turn the light off and close the door behind you.

Massive relief on Tyneside tonight, last game of the season and safety is all but in the bag given the opposition, meanwhile Crystal Palace look like securing 11th spot in the PL, and what about West Ham, well they will start the next PL season in relegation form, keep this up and it will be all but confirmed.

Defeat at home to Everton, last minute goal, Lukaku...you couldn't make it up.

Except you could and I'm sure none of us was surprised.

It's the punchline to a joke called West Ham United.

Next week everyone can have a chuckle at Newcastle's first win since February.

Thank God I haven't got to go back to Upton Park until August.

Yep, draw would have been about right.
But they just don't concentrate for the last quarter of an hour. Done it for donkeys years.
Perhaps train for 2 hour matches at chadwell heath. Derrrrr.

Anyway, Barcodes away should be a laugh.

Gawon West Ham.

Two moments really sum up why I think Sam has to go.

First half Cole wins a header close to the Everton box. I look back and not one other west ham player is in the Everton half.

The last minute goal and the general dire 2nd half to the season. Imagine this was the last season and then match at upton park. Hardly a fitting end. The last game I want to see us pressing and scoring goals for fun, not lining up for a draw in the hope may get a goal from a set piece. The club, fans and stadium deserve more respect than that

Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
In fairness; it was actually an entertaining game and a draw would've been a fair result...

But, yet again, we've conceded yet another late goal to drop points...

Most of the time, that's been because our manager has set the team out to defend narrow leads or hold onto draws against supposedly 'superior' clubs...

Fucking awful, awful marking for Everton's two goals - diabolical stuff - and I'd like to know who was at fault for both goals once I've seen the replays...

Back home and we must be the most boring team on the planet....
Today was the first time I've used my season ticket since before Xmas and today summed up exactly why I can't be fucked anymore
The only good to come out of today was another nail in his coffin
Oh and the weather

Fuck the 75 quid deposit, if BFFS is given a new contract then they can whistle for my season ticket next season... would be very sad to miss the last game at UP but I'll be buggered if I am going to watch any more of that shit.

Dogshit manager. If it weren't for mates I'd jack it in tomorrow.

West Ham is about the supporters to me, what the team does brings us together but they come and go,

Pubs, beer, laugh, moaning about the football together is what's really important and tbh if we were in the conference I'd still buy a season ticket

Correct - totally beyond belief to any sane rational thinking. But I reckon the board were hoping they could get the ST monies in then just shoo Fats back in and brass it out (and they still might).

To do so would be to grossly underestimate the huge undercurrent of fans that want rid of Allardyce. Sulli & Co will lose all respect for good if they shit on us over him... I honestly believe he is 'ill' now and should not be trusted with the job on that basis alone (never mind all the many other reasons).

He has proved over the last 5 months he is MORE than capable of getting us relegated.

Worst scenario... if they make a sensible change and we go down, most fans would be very upset but would understand the reasoning. If they stick with Fats and go down, I doubt there will be one ounce of sympathy for them.

Behind all the smoke and mirrors (and the muttering from Gold, and the 'business only fuck the fans' comments from Tits) I believe Sulli does NOT want Allardyce here now.

That is what I am pinning my hopes on.

There was no shock, no anger with yet another last minute defeat today. The fans are immune to this constant mediocrity and failure from the so-called safe pair of hands.
There is a cancer that needs to be cut out and to carry on like this would be beyond belief.

What royally fucks me off is all this pundits claiming we should be pleased with where we are, that we cannot achieve better and should be thankful. That Fat Sam is some fucking messiah who has given us the best we can and don't expect any more.

We don't pay peanuts for this game we pay hard earned wages for overpaid managers and players to produce piss poor shit. Don't fucking muck me about I expect to see quality for the money this club is investing.

Chelsea were shot before they started getting into Europe and winning the cup winners through hard work, then some Russian fella comes in and buys them. We can do the same we just need leadership and a manager who is willing to raise his expectations above dire, mediocre, tactless football.

Not much to ask is it?!
