Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
What i liked about saturday is that we matched them and could have won, could have lost, but the main thing was we felt comfortable and confident and kept going as if we belonged there.

Now it is fair to say that everton on the whole have finished higher than us and as has been pointed out they do have a very strong spine, yet we matched them.

both teams played football and i see that game as a mark as how far we have come and hopefully where we belong, which is a top 6 or 7th place finish.

I like the direction the club is heading in.

We seem to struggle against teams that have 11 men for 90 mins

I'm guessing it doesn't count that we've had a player sent off in EVERY game we've lost......

Excellent game from two very evenly matched teams
They're a top side who in stones, Barkley and lukaku have a spine as good as anything outside manitou and maybe Chelsea
I thought we edged it even with payet and Valencia getting carried off

The game was by no means a classic but it was utterly absorbing. Plus I actually gave a fuck; unlike the previous 2 seasons under the coma inducing, useless fat oaf.

Dont say you're sorry to have an opinion. It makes you sound childish and weak. Stand up strong and proud with your opinions, with no whiff of sorrow, even if your opinion is wronger than a paedo in a playground.

Yes.
I have enjoyed all the games so far this season, giving it a real go.

Surely you can see the difference? Or maybe you are on the wind up.

Oh so you didn't go and are doubting if people enjoyed the game?

You have to laugh!

Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
If you didn't enjoy that on Saturday then you don't appreciate todays game and may as well just find another sport to follow, because that was a game that was played at a very high level. There was nowhere to hide out there if you couldn't step up to the plate, which is exactly why Carroll stood out and to an extent JenkinSON.

Ohh and the people that went said the game was "poor".

Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
From what I heard (from people that went) the atmosphere was shit and from what I see the game was pretty poor.

As I said I think the result was dissapointing considering as Everton didn't play particularly well and had one of the worst left backs I have seen all season.

Sorry if I have an opinion.

I enjoyed the game saturday. End to end open game by two evenly matched teams. Great to watch, except the lumberjack work done on Payet. i didn't enjoy that bit.

It's impossible to have a debate with you. You're blinkered. It's ridiculous.

I enjoyed the game Saturday. Everyone I spoke to down the pub after the game seemed to enjoy it also. People I have spoken to in work who went enjoyed it. People at the ground seemed to enjoy it.

Apart from that I reckon you may be onto something.

Seeing as you didn't, I can understand why you didn't, son.

Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
The mistakes are frustrating but if you're encouraged to play they will happen unfortunately, I think as we get more adept at our passing and movement the will become fewer. These players have been drilled in safety first football for four years and now they try and play without fear.

Ok Macca let's not have a debate about it.

EVERYTHING LOOKS WONDERFUL

I SEE NO PROBLEM

Re: West Ham v Everton - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
'farts - We have gone and beaten sides in games that Allardyce use to shamefully right off. That's a HUGE difference. We lost at home to Bournemouth and Leicester as Bilic hadn't worked out how to play at home at that point, and that is still a work in progress, ableit it is improving. I know if's and but's are pointless but we should easily be on 25 points now, losing at home to Bournemouth was ridiculous.
