Fourth was sloppy marking allowing fullback to stroll through 60 yards without challenge...

That was when Danny MILLS tore Julian a new one.

4-0 to WBA in the cup last season was a disgraceful perfromance.

Had more spin on it than a David Cameron speech. Adrian not at fault for this shit-sarnie of a team performance.

You can't excuse our collapse... It was embarrassing...

I've seen some bad ones: 6-0 loss in the FA Cup to Man Utd in 02/03...

6-0 loss to fucking READING on NYD in 2007...

5-1 at Arsenal in 12/13 when they scored about 4 in the space of 5 minutes...

Think the 4-1 loss at The Den in 03/04 was by far the worst though... The amount of abuse we got our way - never had it that bad before... Our fans tried our best to postpone the game by trying to pull-down the goal netting and get on the pitch before they then got the police horses and riot police out...

Yesterday was awful but I've seen worse on my travels... Most of them post-2000, it seems!... *Dons face paint*

Their first goal was a fluke, their second was a lottery goal from a corner, their third goal was a complete gift. I can't even remember the forth and won't watch any replays. We were not playing too badly until the second goal went in and then fell apart.

All this shit about how great spurs were is bollocks. We were terrible.

can't believe Adrian gets singled out, he was brilliant again yesterday and had no chance with the goals

A fair few questioned the Ogbonna purchase and got shot down, the same with the Antonio one. That's 14 mil we could have use on a striker that we needed more.

"Park the bus some times Slav its ok :-)" Couldn't agree more with Sir Alf there. Should've started with Ogbinna as extra man in midfield with Sakho alone up front and no Carroll. Bilic at fault here, no doubt about it.

Krap

I think you have a point about reid, I would also add that Adrian is a bit flappy and panicked under pressure, im not sure he organises his defence well or insills any confidence in the back 4.

Re: Tottenham v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-1
Sir Alf/FCJ.
agree.
However, when we get a proper right back who can defend and also if Dicks cannot get Cresswell to play in position we will struggle and Dicks should be shown the door.
The amount of time, even yesterday late on, the
Chinese lad should have scored because Cresswell was miles away.
Give the armband to Reid, yes he was poor yesterday, for the long term.
Give Carroll to BFS. yes, give him to them for free.
Because that what he brings to this side is SFA.
How many points have we picked up with this Prick in the side.
Oh! 'I forgot Chelsea .
well one goal a season is not a big enough return for 16m quid is it?
Spurs deserved their victory as we did not show up.Yes, I've said it they looked a class act.
they will finish top four .
I don't think we will until we get rid of some deadwood.
Bilic for me so far............7/10.

Some good points Tex.

The last one about Bilic I am not so sure about.

Part of the problem is he is trying to get us to play a passing game, be on the front foot. But as suggested, you cannot do that in a lot of games because we do not have the players it seems to keep the ball. Noble lacks pace, Kouyate often lacks passing technique (although not so much yesterday to be fair) and Moses, Zarate are not the complete modern midfield player. Good on the ball but not contributing enough with work rate and covering when we do not. You can afford one player like Lanzini possibly to be less of a covering player who wins the ball back but in the modern game, teams work and move all over the park. Up front we did and have not had the movement when Carroll plays and Sakho was wasted out wide. He got through a few times but is not a crosser of the ball.

We are trying to play it out from the back but the movement in midfield is often not there. We could not get possession yesterday because of the lack of mobility and work rate across midfield and the fact that we were one short with two up top.

Bilic has to learn (we hope he will) that sometimes you can park the bus and play the counter attack game. The injuries have not helped and not having a fully fit Song or Obiang. But yesterday he would have been better to respect the passing and movement of Spurs and set up with Oxford in midfield with just Sakho up front and made us much harder to break down. No one knows and hindsight and all that but I suspect, as at the Emirates, Spurs would have found us a much harder nut to crack.

The key point though is that he chose Carroll and Sakho and weakened the area Spurs are strongest in. Tactical suicide. Park the bus some times Slav its ok :-)

Re: Tottenham v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 4-1
am absolutely stunned that Reid has been absolved of much of the blame for the woeful display from our so called defence yesterday. He was shit....had a hand in each of their goals...by piss poor defending , weak tackle for 1st , 3rd and 4th goals...and just completely lost his man for the 2nd. Tomkins and Ogbonna to start for me next week.

Jenkinson is good going forward but is not a great defender, the way he got turned for kanes first was pathetic.
