Positives:
-Fletcher had a better game than Mancs mid-week. we didn't have a great deal going forward but it was going through him when we did.
-Fernandes gave another strong showing both defensively and attacking, In fact, I felt the game went out the door with his substitution. Good vision, good hold-up play, good pace. obviously needs to develop more but could become a very tidy player for us.
-Caroll scored a goal and his head didn't fall off (or any other part of his body). 2 goals from strikers in a week. it's something eh?
negatives:
-the defence: partially explained from the number of injuries, but 3 of 5 goals came from not marking tightly enough and the other 2 mental lapses. apart from the goals, arsenal split us open on just about every attack. were it not for walcott's complete lack of composure, it could have been much worse.
-injuries/fitness: 3 games 5 injuries, apparently all muscle (I'm speculating on ginge but not sure what else it could have been). i'm simply baffled that Bilic would admit to not training properly, but on the evidence it's hardly a surprise, In september he was talking in his presser about needing to change things in training
-players quitting: second game in a row that we packed it in ahead of the final whistle. that might be the most troubling aspect in all of this. we've already supposedly had a "clear-the-air" team meeting. where do you go from here?
-excuse me for flogging this dead horse, but the stadium. it may have been flying for chelsea but fuck the atmosphere was dead for this. you could understand for the last 10 minutes but what about up to that point. what's worse is that it seems to be either quiet or unintelligible noise. maybe it's different at the ground

Got back late yesterday and had a nights sleep.
Simply put, we did not strengthen and are paying the price.
With 2 or 3 first choice players out we are the worst team in the league IMO.
Fletcher is game and technically sound but not strong or physical enough to lead the line. Carroll will never be fit long enough.
We had no left back. Fernandes tried but had no chance really. Saying that we got worse and exposed when we went to a back four with Arbeloa (rusty and very slow).
J Arthur was ok for the most part and esepcially going forward and maybe he could be developed.
Biggest problem aside from no forward and proper RB, is midfield.
Collectively too slow, cannot press teams, do not work hard enough and cannot cope with being pressed. Only Obiang, who was visibly knackered towards the end, is of the requisite quality. Noble should not start every game. Lanzini, Ayew, Payet ll standing around on the Arsenal counters. No wonder we were pulled apart.

Still don't look fit enough to me and I've been saying that all season. Add that to the lack of heart and desire being shown and we are fucked.
We looked like a pub team with hangovers they way we walked back and let them have their 3rd, 4th and 5th yesterday. A lot of them just gave up after 70 minutes.

Not sure many would agree with that! If they had taken their easy chances they would have been about 5-0 up at the break & won by a cricket score
Every time they got the ball they looked like they we going to score
Every time we got the ball it looked like we'd give it away & never score in a month of Sundays
It looked like a top 4 side vs relegation fodder
This was one ofthe most disappointing & inept performance I can remember in recent history, far far worse than any of the shit we had to endure under BFS

Except it is, that's reason for shit atmosphere Ern. Obviously we were woeful, but between Arsenal and proper West Ham was freebies, popcorn, iPads and god knows. All contributes and all the 'new ground'.

The club is done now. Heart and soul ripped away. Owners who are complete cowboys, backed up by a slut who hates what we stand for. Players making millions who don't give a fuck (just look at them all joking around like kids on the benches yesterday) a manager who for all his goodwill is clearly out of his depth, and all being played out in a cunt rented soulless athletics bowl.

The players look slow, unfit and devoid of confidence.
We look outnumbered both defensively and offensively which is a feat in itself!
We have a set-piece in which we keep four players back, against 1 forward and still get outnumbered on their break. This shows a huge lack of desire.
We must get back to basics pronto!
