Maybe he started with 3 at the back cause he had no choice, maybe Byram wasn't fit enough to start.

Game of two halves
First half shape was all wrong, didnt move the ball quick enough or with any purpose
Second half was best half we've had at home this year. Carroll was a real handful and obviously the goal will go down in the history books.
Obiang and Reid deserve a mention, yet again both produced superb performances which go under the radar almost.
Bit worrying Bilic started with 3 at the back. It didnt work, it has never worked at home and his persistance to keep using it is causing a little cause for concern.
But after last week that result was just what was needed with the second half performance and Carrolls goal (Lanzini's werent bad either) topping it off. On way back to the station and after the game for the first tiime the fans were singing songs and there was a real bouyant mood coming out the place.
Real optimism now ahead of Boro......COYI

Lanzini started his run for his goal at about our penalty spot and was next to Reid when he headed out to Antonio.Took about 9 seconds, It was a great piece of athleticism and a sublime finish..

In preseaon, I watched fegs play a number of very clever balls to unlock the defence albeit against septics. As others have stated on here sometimes he tries to be too clever, but most of the time he is demonstrating good vision even though it doesn't come off. It takes a bit of match experience to develop an understanding with your teammates, and it also takes some stones to attempt more ambitious balls due to exposing your team if it doesn't come off.
The most encouraging thing about fegs is that he's getting better and at least against weaker opposition is starting to cause some problems. He won't replace dimi's skill but he and lanzini could form a good partnership.

Nice to see Mr Fegooo have a fairly decent game. I think he needs to keep his game simple whilst he gets used to this league, less of the tricks and flicks, just simple pass and move will suffice.
Great to see a 2nd half with some pride and passion.Antonio was special yesterday.

I thought he was poor in that game, his movement was fucking dogshit, but then again, I was there, maybe it was hard to tell on your stream.
Even so, if you are genuinely saying he was OUTSTANDING, then you're clearly on a wind up. He wasn't close to that, regardless of whether you thought he was shit or not.
So, to summarise, you've named one game, a game in which he did not do one thing of note. I've just checked, because I've currently got fuck all better to do, and he made 18 (EIGHTEEN) completed passes in the game. A central midfielder. And 2 tackles, 2 dribbles. He got a match rating of 6.35
EIGHTEEN OUSTANDING PASSES. Great stuff.
Another one for you. Has he had a shot on target as a midfielder this season in the league?

On another note Palace spent big money bringing in Benteke and Townsend. Those two on today's performance are not giving much bang for their buck.
Big fees don't guarantee regular good performances it seems.

Comma, it's about opinions, personally I don't give a fuck whether we finish 7th or 10th, I'd rather see us give a few of the youngsters a game, you never know we might finish as the best of the rest with them playing. Either way it can only help next season, and If we do unearth a gem I dare say our board would be more than happy if it saved them a fortune in transfers.

Pretty much every game he has been in centre midfield, we've been poor. He's been poor, fucking hopelessly poor in centre midfield this year. Name me 1 game where he has played well in that position? I'll save you time, you can't.
He has, however, had a few great games at centre back. We all know he has.
So why don't you, Vexed, argue against that with something to back up what you're saying?

chelmsford, I'm not saying don't blood youngsters at all. I'm simply saying we have something to play for.
Actually Bilic has something to play for by all accounts. Escaping relegation might not satisfy our owners as much as finishing in the top half.
