There were a few punches landed unfortunately. Slightly spoilt what was otherwise a great day out.

Humpty Dumpty the fat bird perched on the advertising hoardings.. she was gobbling off & giving it wanker signs to us.. looked like she might have been on the spectrum..

Ginger Pele looked like half his head had rusted up....

Kaka... only kids wasn't they... hence the `you've got school in the morning' chant.. although one bloke in a white shirt was doing some absolute and utter world class wanker signs...

Nah Sold0, we were near the corner flag.

`Great day out- anyone who cant applaud burnley which is a proper family club, good people, essentially a young british side managed by an english manager who have worked out a way to exits and prosper in the PL- is a knob`. I'd rather go to burnley & bournemouth all season long than some of the soulless days we have out against the "Premier" sides...'

Agreed... made me laugh when our lot was singing Burnley's a shit hole.. I mean they seen our abortion of a ground!! Loved it at the Cricket Ground... homeplace of Jimmy Anderson...

If Ayew could manage to.be in the right place at the right time every other game rather than every other month then we could start mentioning him in the same breath as a class finisher like Greaves.
What next? Fonte as the new Moore.

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
long day out however out a decent smile on the end of a grim season.

Thought some of our interplay was as good as we've shown this season- especially second half- ayew worked his socks off however could really have done with someone working closer with him - thought it strange Slav didnt put fletcher on earlier or even give rice etc a bit more game time.

Really liked the look of fernandez and he shows promise- its a different game against a top side as we saw with him last week v liverpool.

Great day out- anyone who cant applaud burnley which is a proper family club, good people, essentially a young british side managed by an english manager who have worked out a way to exits and prosper in the PL- is a knob. I'd rather go to burnley & bournemouth all season long than some of the soulless days we have out against the "Premier" sides

We got away sharpish and were two cars back from when they shut the road and then we sat like lemons for an hour- next time we'lll leave earlier or maybe stay for a longer drink- we did find ourself right in the middle of 15 minute bout of pavement dancing , police horses and insults flying...no chance of a punch being landed tho', from either side.

On we go.

Really enjoyable day out - fans were quality. Great, well deserved reception for Bilic at the end.

On the game, thought Byram was outstanding. Other notables were Fonte, Fegs and Fernandes.

Nice to see Ayew score again. Has a knack for being in the right place at the right time..... something Jimmy greaves was good at...Definitely keep him.

Feghouli is worth a 2 nd look.

Snodgrass is proven at Prem level, he just needs to settle. He'll get better with time.

Fernandez has potential so does Fletcher.

Byram is showing signs of improvement.
Masuaka is outplaying Cresswell.
Fonte is solid.

Calleri is pony, Sakho is a waste of squad spot.

Unsure on Billic, love the man but he's looked out of his depth at times and Mancini is looking for work.... I say get Mancini in asap.

Glad the season is over, what stands out are the wins against Chelsea in the cup and Spurs at home.

Losing to Watfird at home and getting spanked by the gooners at home.....

Anyway glad it's fucking over, when all said and done, I didn't have a whole lot to cheer about...

That was one..if not the poorest standard Premier League season I can recall.
So many dogshit sides.

I think the final standings tells a massive story.

The gap between Everton and Soton and the rest of the dogshit is FIFTEEN fucking points...and compare that with only six points between Bournemouth in 9th and Watford in 17th.

Fucking joke of a league

TeVaz

for the 27th season on the trot (!!!) ( for someone my age that's an incredible statistic ) and until they get a decent defence they won'tl again !

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
I'm also glad to see the back of this season, but always thought that we'd struggle in the new ground, and personally I'm just glad to have avoided relegation - quite comfortably in the end.
I wasn't going to renew this season but have changed my mind, hopeful that a second season at the London Stadium will find us more settled.
I'm assuming Bilic will be in charge, as he should be - he's only been here two years (or is that long enough these days?), and has had one excellent season and one not very good one. However, he's had a lot to contend with this season, and given that no manager is going to be perfect, I think he's perfect for US. Deserves another year, anyway, at the very least.

Awful season and today's win can't erase the shocking memory of losing of losing so spinelessly and allowing the bindippers into the Champions League.

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
Feghuly and Fernandes the outstanding players today for me.
Cresswell failed to convince me that he is as good as Masuaku now.
Well deserved win that atoned for last week's performance.

Re: ⚽ Burnley v West Ham - The Official Match Thread
Nice to see end of this awful season with a win
Probably not too bad a game for the neutral to watch & we just about deserved a win (certainly no less than a draw)
It looked like an end of season kick about between 2 lower/mid table sides with little more to play for than putting a few million more in the clubs coffers
Hard to pick our MoTM as nobody was particularly outstanding. I thought Ayew had a decent game, making one & scoring to almost make up for his double miss of the season vs Liverpool
Young Edmilson is going to be some player when he grows up
It's a shame we couldn't have put the game to bed earlier so young Declan Rice could have got more game time
Feghouli put in a couple of great crosses, shame we had nobody to head the ball in the middle!
Snodgrass is useless
Our away support is the best
Overall, it was good to see our lads put in a bit of effort after the Liverpool surrender

Played well, from the end 35 mins I saw, but agree with these points EXACTLY (on the pitch-side of things alone).

“Just got to make sure that an 11th place finish doesn't paper over the gaping cracks.”

and

“Never has a mid table finish felt such a let down”

IRONS.
