One of the worst performances ive seen on the road. To play that bad against a team with as little quality as they had is hugly worrying. Felt like it was the beginning of the end for Bilic, and after watching it its hard to make a case to back him at the moment. He constantly makes stupid, baffling decisions and picks the wrong team.
Player wise literally not one of them had a half decent game. Fernandes, Ayew and Noble in particular looked awful. Why was Fernandes even on the pitch? He looked poor at Cheltenham playing right of a front 3 so Bilic moves him to LW for a huge game. Has he ever really looked a threat going forward or ever played LW for us? Then he managed to play the full 90. Noble needs to be dropped, just not good enough anymore. Not sure why Obiang didnt start, was our best player back end of last season then after one shocker up at Old Trafford seems to have been banished?!
Anything but a convincing win against Huddersfield and its time to go for Slav. We've been poor for most of the calendar year and there arent many signs its going to get any better.

thats game was the same games we've non-competed in for the last 18 months.
Changes in personnel make no difference- we are like a pub side with the ball - did ANYONE actually break a tackle or make a few yards past a player, all game long!? , and like the pub reserve side without the ball - always someone elses job to do the hard work- I was on the piss last night and cant be arsed.
Finger of blame has to rest firmly on the manager. Fraid to say

As I've said, genuinely, I think Billic is cracking up. I've seen people go under with pressure and this is what happens - decisions become irrational and you can't think straight.

One of the worst things about yesterday was the fact that I've seldom seen St James's Park so subdued. Hardly any noise from the Geordies and you got the sense that the crowd were really nervous and on edge.
It transmitted to the team and they really were dogshit for a lot of the first half as they waited for an onslaught from a team who have had a great transfer window which just didn't come.
We were SO compressed in the middle of the park that it made it almost impossible to pass forward. Newcastle pressed like an average, fit Championship side but slowly came to realise the space they had out wide.
If two of their players went wide at the same time they realised they'd always be two-on-one as only the centre-backs or Zab could get across- a lot of the time only ONE of our defenders was back defending.
A ball through or over the top left their wide player with an unimpeded cross or shot. It was madness and if it wasn't for Zab or Rice racing back and blocking the shot it could have been six.
At corners and free-kicks the word 'disarray' comes to mind. Collins was the only defender who looked like he wasn't allergic to a football.
It was an absolutely shocking display where a bunch of decent footballers had absolutely no idea where they were supposed to be positioned and as we sang, 'you're nothing special- we lose every week' we nearly had six put past us by a team who really WERE nothing special.

Was away this weekend and only heard our result at full time. My first thought, the poor fuckers who travelled up there for the game. Second thought, what the hell is Bilic doing, we haven't been able to defend for ages now.
My third thought, thank fuck I didn't renew my season ticket.

That's it in a nutshell. We had a world class player, who won us games virtually on his own. Bilic has probably always been a bang average Manager, and Payet not only carried the team at times, but the Manager too.

I've wanted to believe in Bilic. The Payet season was great football.
Looking back there's something happening that goes on with lots of clubs/managers.
A good defensive manager gets a team playing for results e.g. Moyes at Everton BFS with us or Palace, Pulis at Palace or Stoke.
A new more attacking coach comes in Bilic for us, Martinez at Everton, Pards at Palace maybe.
That have one good season as the good defensive habits from the previous coach support and complement the morr attacking or expensive playthey want to bring in.
Season after that it all goes to put because new coach cannot instil that defensive /results focussed game. We look powder puff, low intensity and inconsistent. No obvious plan etc etc.
Bilic if you're reading this you need to get a back to basics plan or you'll be gone by Nov.
Benitez would be great. Done it at all levels.

Once you start the match there’s almost nothing the manager can do. If players play crap, then the manager is powerless other than change them out via substitutes. Obvious stuff.
But if the manager selects or buys crap players, then the team will play crap, and that’s why I think Billic is a spent force.
He doesn’t look like he knows how to fix it, doesn’t have the alternatives to put in the team, and can’t coach or motivate the players he has.
I’d like to see the stats about how many times we give the ball away to the opposition per game and if you do that consistently you will get beaten.
He doesn’t seem to be able to coach basic things into the team and being an ex International defender, able to coach good defensive techniques & that’s the biggest worry for me.
A nice guy, yes, but as a manager he’s lost his way now and we need to look at changing him out. And, sadly, a string of home games with our fucking ground is no guarantee of success whatsoever.
A complete fuck up as always – the West Ham way.

One of the drawbacks is you see the result before watching the full game on the site i use, i must be a fool for watching that dibble though, knowing it was going to be 3-0..............

Pre season matches are not about playing well or to win, it's all about to get a run out..
This is what I learned from who
Looking back at preseason:
We played just as bad as the three firstvol matches
We gifted goals against shit teams
Ayew was shockingly bad
We had no pace
We had to plan of how to play
Etc, etc
We have a few gifted players, but the way our team is set up, and the way we try to defend and attack is a joke.
Bilic just have to go To-fucking-day

Fuck me; this is on par with that season under Grant, first 3 games we had conceded 9, so currently its worse!!!! That really was one of the worst performances I have seen in a good few years, going to be a long season…….
