Re: ⚽ West Ham v WBA - Official Match Thread FT 2-1
I don't think he goes down easily. Why would he have to when almost every time he jumps for a ball someone has a hold of his shirt, elbows him in the face or pushes him in the back.

If he starts tomorrow (and he should) watch what happens to him literally every time we get a corner or free-kick.

It shouldn't really be about refs sussing him out and loving ignoring him, just judge whether it was a fucking foul or not.

Some of our fans seem to hate him and almost do the job of a bent ref for them. I had a couple of right cunts near me last night who gave him dogs all night. I turned around after the second goal went in and said 'that cunt Carroll eh?' and one of them actually sneered and said 'well he's fucking paid enough to do it every week'. They actually looked gutted and didn't really celebrate the win.

I think when you become that full of piss and bile you really should consider a new hobby.

'Refs get pissed off with him and love ignoring him.'

That's called cheating.

I agree with Chim.

I think sometimes he 'doesn't bother' jumping or challenging for the ball because he just gets penalised so many times- sometimes justly but equally when he's done nothing wrong. Defenders playact around him, and use his strength against him.

There are a LOT of times he gets fouled where nothing is given as well- then again that applies to most of our team it seems. I remember against Watford that Brazilian player kicked him clearly in the leg three times and nothing was given. After the third one Carroll unsurprisingly lost the ball then he gives a bit back and is instantly booked for it.

As for MOTM, despite other players probably doing more overall he scored two goals, including the winner in the last minute. Surely not a surprise he got it?

Refs have Carroll sussed. He gobs off all match, goes down easy trying to to win cheap free kicks which the refs are wise to and wonders why he doesn't get the decisions when he is genuinely fouled.
He is his own worst enemy. Refs get pissed off with him and love ignoring him.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v WBA - Official Match Thread FT 2-1
What is it about Carroll and refs? He gets fuck all protection and a card if he hands it out himself.

Last night he was constantly smashed, had his shirt pulled as he jumped, pushed in the back, one of their defenders had his arm around his neck in the box and he got sandwiched between two defenders, they all went down and HE got a card.

Even Moyes alluded to it saying something about a WBA player doing something 'if Andy Carroll did that there would be an outcry that he should get banned for six or seven games'.

Although I can think of about 100 I'd love to kick, is there another player in the Premier league who players can kick with such impunity?

hugely important 3 points from what was a pretty average performance. hopefully Carroll can go on a run of form now as he owes us one.

if we get anything at Spurs it sets us up nicely for the rest of january.

the problems in the centre of the park are becoming more & more obvious. two new players are needed in there - or Rice/Oxford given a go.

Can't beat going mental as we score a last minute winner.

People slating Obiang but Kayoute is much more of a problem. Granted I dont think he is good enough for the premier league but he is still better than Kayoute who cannot pass.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v WBA - Official Match Thread FT 2-1
Great to win but overall it was a poor performance.

Kayoute, Cresswell and Reid are not the players they were two years ago. Where has that form gone? Reid was all over the shop last night.

Even last season he wasnt too bad for me, or even some games start of this season. But last 6 weeks or so he has been woeful, where has the player of 2 years ago gone?
