We were poor

Second half we didnt threaten them at all. Going forward we didnt get near enough to Chicarito. Cresswell in the first half was awful. The amount of times he stands behind a player so he cant receive the ball or doesnt run into the space in behind so the ball has to go backwards or sideways to retain possesion. Byram is not good enough, and Moyes leaves it to late to make changes. Should of put Antonio up top earlier......put Zaba at RB and Mario in the middle so we would of had more of a threat from deep. Lack of options of course down to the owners and their tight pockets. Saturday is a massive 6 pointer for us

"from go to whoa"

Is that a New Zealand innovation or 19th century slang?

Or both?

Re: ⚽ Brighton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 3-1
key issue for me is how many players we're prepared to commit forward.

other teams just seem to push more players forward than us and we struggle massively due to being overloaded as a result. when we go forward we commit a couple of lads and we're left hoping someone does something, rather than sustaining pressure because we pick up second balls, overload and find a free man, etc.

Only just saw the highlights now. As others have said, we just defended so badly.

We had about 8 defensive players on the field, and we somehow managed to get overrun and completely dominated from go to whoa from what I saw.

For the first goal, Collins somehow turned a 3 defender-2
attacker situation into an unmarked goal. It was almost like he forgot there wasn't anyone outside him.

Good goal from Hernandez though, and showed what he can do when a) someone sees his movement, and b) someone passes him the ball where he wants/needs it

Are you Joe Hart's agent?

He was at fault at Arsenal and for the first Wigan goal.

Hart is shot, Get over it.

There was some shit performances there on Saturday.

Adrian has to do better for me on the first goal, made it too easy for Murray. He was at fault as well for the Bournemouth goal the other week. Think Moyes is looking for the opportunity to get Hart back in.

Thought Ogbonna Hernandez and Mario were the only ones that come out of that game with any credit. We were so devoid of pace it was painful to watch.

What was Antonio on for? 20 mins maximum, fuck me he was blowing out of his arse after 5 mins.

I think you may be right

We need a massive clear out, we need to rid the ground of part time fans from other clubs

We need to reintroduce kids from West Ham families to matches at the stadium for very cheap prices.

We need to get our soul back

We need to rid ourselves of the current owners, how I have no idea but they need to go

Agree. Also Arthur missing is another outlet we no longer have or not for another month!

Obiang should have been replaced. His injury timing was perfect and what the Jan window is for. Moyes says he needed 2 midfielders to balance the squad before the injury. Insanity that will cost us.

EVen with Arnie how will we get and keep the ball to supply him? Yesterday we simply could not get out of a deep defensive line and the lack of movement and passing options was marked. The lack of cover down the flanks by Cresswell and Kouyate added to the problems. We have no one in the squad to cover for Obiang and Arthur.

You might as well buy a beer as due to the SHIT deal they signed most of the beer money doesn’t go to the lying owners.

I've observed this season a fast decline in this club, firstly the London Stadium is the soulness stadium that a lot of people predicted it to be, a very non football stadium. Secondly our lovely owners ,Rod,Jane and Freddy are the main problem has we know , so short term apart from not buying the club merchanise, including not buying the beer( I know a beer is the only way to cope watching this crap)is also to change our policy for recruiting players, were by buying younger players from a lower level that are scouted by football coaches not agents looking to feed the Rainbow crew pockets. it's going to take a few years but even our recruiting has been poor for years and the standard at the academy has dipped badly .

Re: ⚽ Brighton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 3-1
Collins was poor, Byram was poor, Cresswell was fucking appalling, Zabaleta out of position and it showed, Kouyate is an absolute fucking joke of a footballer, Mario is neat and tidy and could be useful when Lanzini and Arnie are back but will never, ever be a player you can rely on to control and win you a game, and Hernandez would be an excellent striker in 15 other teams in the league, but not in a team who play the style of football we do. The amount of good runs he makes is ludicrous, but we have no one in the team to find him. Obiang gets pelters from some, but we missed him today badly, and to not replace him in the window is fucking criminal.

All in all, if we don't get our 2 best players fit sharpish, we are in big trouble.

Re: ⚽ Brighton v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 3-1
just awfull. from minute 1 they had an extra player in every area- Moyes didnt react nor did the players. Nothing new here we are dull, slow, flat, pointless footballl. Basic basic football errors all over the park. Id fuck off every single one of them.
