Noble is superb at what he does. Fetch and carry, all day, all over the park. His legs are not quite as strong as a few yrs back which is why he gets sub'd after 80 odd mins.

Now we have, in my opinion, a direct replacement for him when he retires in Declan Rice. Grafts all day, plays simple football, fetches and carries. I'm certain that what Pellegrini see's in the kid.

When Lanzini gets back we will take sides apart with the squad we have. We've just been shit unlucky again with injuries to Lanzini and now Yarmo. But it won't last forever and we have enough strength in the squad to compensate.

Nobles bad challenge? Yes it was a bad challenge, but you will get that the way he commits to his game and every now and then a ref will send him off.

Thats football. I think he's a cracking player given his limitations which he is fully aware of.

Pellegrini is developing a very good side here. If we could find a natural striker (what if the donkey was consistently fit, fuck me) in the Jan window then we'll turn a lot of sides over.

Whether we like him or not it is to Noble's eternal credit that he is able to get a succession of managers to give him regular starts. Over the last few season he has been a symptom not the cause of our midfield issues.

‘Ok, he isn't a world class player, but who the fuck do you want to play instead?’

One of the hundreds of midfielders that are in between World Class and Mark Noble level perhaps?

Re: Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Mike - What you are effectively saying is that the sending off had no affect on the result, playing for a half and a bit without your experienced club captain?? Actually that's not a great argument for Noble!

Wtf is wrong with you guys.
Noble is the best midfielder we have, we saw that when he wasn't playing.

He just has a nasty habit of sliding into challenges. Always had.

Ok, he isn't a world class player, but who the fuck do you want to play instead?

Unfortunately he made a mess yesterday, but I have already forgotten it. So should you!

In Pelle I trust

By the way, if he was "dragging the team down like an anchor", surely it has to be a good thing from Hermit's POV that he got sent off

Ignore Hermit - it’s a psychological condition.

At the very least Noble's ill timed tackle was culpable in us not managing to hold on for a win.

Re: Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
3 games in a row he's cost us. Beggars belief that people still want him on the pitch dragging down the team like a massive ANCHOR. Even when he's not making game-changing mistakes he slows us down with his oil-tanker turns and backward passes.

"Noble's stupidity cost us the game"...

Tell me you didn't have a straight dace when you said that. A wicked deflection cost us 2 points, that's the way things go. The team were ticking all the right boxes and you can't legislate for bad luck.

Re: Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Stupid challenge from Noble absolutely a straight red there’s no argument on that front. A player of his experience should know better than to go lunging into challenges like that in the middle of the park at 0-1.

That said everyone slating him seem to want to give him all the grief when he fucks up but no credit for his contribution to our recent up turn in performances.

Based on Wilshires performances, had not got injured, I still think Noble would be in the side and he will be a BIG miss for the games against Burnley and Huddersfield there’s no doubt about it.

Hermit Road

You nailed it about Noble. He slows the games down.

Noble has been average at best this season. Had some good moments but also some costly ones.

Don’t think he is up to the level of player we need to become a regular top half side. I couldn’t see any decent top half club entertaining him in their squad.

Great servant but we need better than him if we are to match our ambitions.

Re: Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Noble is a very good player, and he is still important to us, as we still play better with him than without him. Blame the club, if that bothers you, but not the player.

He fucked up yesterday, but that's part of his game, to go full blooded into all challenges; according to players, he is exactly the same in training.

Now don't go and say I'm saying he's Zidane, but ZZ averaged one red card a season for usually completely losing his head and stamping on heads and such like. It was part of his make up that, overall, you tolerated. Every now and then, Noble will get a red card for going in full throttle; more often than not, you'll applaud a great tackle that will left the rest of the team.

Howe many games will he miss? Tottenham, I assume, but will there be two more, or is it just the one?

Re: Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I think under MP we are making really good progress. Noble's stupidity cost us the game but I think overall he has played well this season, particularly since Wilshire has been out. Pellegrini doesn't seem to have favourites and if he thinks the team will be stronger with Noble in, then he will play him, if not he will be benched.

Unlucky to lose to Brighton and Spurs, deserved at least seven points from last three games. Hope MP can persuade Sulli to make another two quality signings in Jan!

What a fucking stupid post. Have you even watched us this season? Noble has been the engine room of the side. Yes, he used to pass backwards quite a lot but this season he rarely does it, but people like you wouldn't have noticed that. You should be made to sit down and watch the Man U game again and applaud vigorously every time he makes a positive contribution. Your hands would be sore by the end.

Is it me or did Noble (rightly criticised for pooor needless challenge) and Antonio (rightly criticised for performances in last year) both so much more in their time on the pitch than Hernandez has done? Time to offload and put faith in youth ahead of ego

Re: Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Great defensive performance but it's typical of our shit cunt luck that we conceded so late on with that sort of goal.

I think that we deserved all three points considering how well that we defended.

I fucking hate Leicester City and their newbie post-96 happy-clappy cunt fans who were nowhere to be seen when they were a pile of shit in the Championship.

Still, the helicopter crash puts everything into perspective. An awful, awful tragedy.
