Every time we play these cunts and we have a good enough team to beat them, we come away feeling cheated. As I said at the beginning of this thread. I fucking detest Liverpol. Fucking scum.

It was clumsy but the daft cunt's reaction sealed his fate.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
He’s a theatrical cunt alright. But if Arthur doesn’t touch him, he doesn’t get the opportunity to go down. And he didn’t need to either.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
He touched his foot while he had his back to goal, it was done so violently, that he had time to turn 180° then dive forward towers the goal.

The touch had no effect on him at all.

Schoolboy stuff from Arthur, who had a decent game apart from that. If you kick that cunt in the box, he’s likely to go down, however soft it may look.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
The penalty was incredibly soft and in my view embellishment at it's worst - Probably fed up with all the bleating about unfairness from the Van Dijk injury and gave them a soft one to shut them up.

Modern game is shit and going non-contact. VAR makes this even more so as often things look worse in slow motion and you can't judge the force or level of contact.
Find it galling that was given and the more blatant foul on Antonio in the Man City game was just waved off. Maybe he should have thrown himself in the air screaming and rolled out. Ridiculous.

Fuck all this bitching about Haller, which all has merits, what we should be talking about is how the fucety fuck did that cunt of ref give a penalty for that dive by the Mummy I stead of booking him for simulation. Fucking scousers are handed game after game from these star struck incompetent officials.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
So he stays the same while the whole club top to bottom plus every training session moves to please him.

Thank god Moyes is trying to change that attitude and kick out the lazy thick one's.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I see the thread is still all about Haller. I watched the build up to our goal. He makes a run and stops twice and both times the ball isn't delivered and we mess about with it. You can see he is frustrated. He wants it played into him in the box early. What happens is that if you aren't getting service then you stop making the runs. There is a complete lack of understanding on how he plays as he isn't a battering ram like Antonio.

It doesn't excuse the lack of aggression to challenge for balls or his bad first touch but the Liverpool game was one of the most defensive and most lacking in ambition game by our side this season. Nobody in our side really got a sniff at goal.

In a way scoring so early didn't lend itself to a good performance as the focus seemed to be to hang on to something rather than go for their throat. It's a mind set based on where we are as a club.

I actually think this season is quite open unless they change the subs rule again which favours the big clubs. If we had more belief in ourselves then I think we can put away teams rather than hang on.

I probably not far behind those that have already given up on him, but he really needs a performance against Fulham.

I'd still give him that chance.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
unfortunately, Haller is too slow for the PL. He is also not aggressive enough.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
The reason we were defending so deep against Liverpool was that we didn't have Antonio as the outlet. We can't expect Haller to be Antonio, but we need someone who can bring something else at least, and Haller doesn't. I'd give him one more chance against Fulham - although if he's only capable of performing against the lesser teams I'm not sure that's much good either.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I see no one can find a club in the PL where Haller would fit in as a 1st team striker at 45m.
But somehow expect him to work for us?

he must know if he doesn’t do well at Fulham he’s done. Lot of pressure on him. I hope it steps it up I really do.

Haller will never come good if we don’t play to his strengths.

I’m still hoping Haller comes good. We write players off way too easily.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
We defended too deep against a frankly bang average looking Liverpool. Obvious at one all Moyes was happy to take a point, but fuck that, get some attacking options on earlier and we might come away with all three. Their subs changed the game, Moyes never gave ours the chance to.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
CM - agreed. The thing is, most of Haller's critics on here are acting as if the difference is way, way more than a few percent.

Pagey - the other thing worth mentioning here is that yesterday we were defending deeper than usual. Antonio has been getting more support from Bowen and Fornals when pressing. Yesterday, most of the time Haller was the only one near the half way line up against their back four plus Henderson. An impossible task.

It’s that extra few % that makes all the difference at this level. An extra yard at the right time and you get the opportunities.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
We’ve come through these games better than anyone could have imagined, especially after Newcastle.

Means nothing if we don’t know start getting some points on the board though.

Re: ⚽ Liverpool v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Pagey - sure, some of what I wrote was just my opinion. But ironically, the one thing you picked on - Haller only jogging but Antonio running when closing down, is patently true. Take a look at it , seriously. I totally stand by my statement that Antonio only does 5% more than Haller.
