Exactly! Just a nice act of human kindness and sportsmanship. I like to see that sort of thing from someone dressed in claret and blue.

Thought we had quite a few chances in the first 20 mins (Bar and post saved them)

And looked good again in the last 20 minutes (not sure if it was down to the substitutions or Fulham getting tired and sitting back playing for the point)

We need someone to unlock teams that Park the Bus,

Benrahma looked keen but was only on for the last 20 mins hopefully he can do this job for us

End of that video also shows fabianski twice gong up to lookman and giving it to him !

The end of that video showed Moyes saying to Benrahma about going away with Algeria to be sure to "get some match practice and be ready"

A bit harsh there connolly. He was only congratulating Balbuena's sportsmanship for telling a 23 year old on his 4th game at Fulham not to let it affect him too much...

Lookman deserved to feel like shit. Stop talking about him like he is a child. Step up and stick the ball in the back of the net, dont act selfish and try and make yourself look good with a Panenka.

All this simulation and diving ( aka cheating ) came along with Johnny Foreigner ( players and coaches) and especially those of latino heritage. You are congratulated / admired when you get a penalty or get someone sent off in the South American leagues. Spanish league the same. Now our home grown players do it because they are coached to and its a "do as they do" mentally or you lose out.

FIFA are at the root of all this and of course money!! It wont change. In the old days you would pummel your own team mate for doing that sort of thing.

Yep Fabian is a real class act unlike Rice who goaded the young man.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already, but I just saw the MOTD highlights and noticed Balbuena went to console Lookman after his penalty miss which I don’t think was captured on the full broadcast. That’s a classy move from him. Good man.

Just got a club email that says West Ham Women came from behind at the weekend

Nice to know

Just think of it as karma ...
Haller being onside is payback for Scott Parker in a Newcastle shirt stepping over a ball in an offside position as it goes in
Lookman trying a Panenka is payback for Scott Parker going to Spurs

THE WORLD HAS MOVED SLIGHTLY BACK TOWARDS BALANCE

And you say you aren't complaining for the opposition....

I'm sure making a defender perform a crap header when he could have just let it go comes under the category

"prevent (a process or activity) from continuing or being carried out properly."

But thats just my opinion!

1.
intervene in a situation without invitation or necessity.
"you promised not to interfere"

2.

I'm not arguing for the opposition lol!
I just want to understand what has happened. Even Moyes said he wouldn't have been happy with that had it been us.
Interfere (in the English language at least) doesnt just mean "block" or "obscure" someones view. Interfere can mean that you being there changes the outcome of something.

If you are offside you technically dont exist on the pitch at that moment in time. So if your presence effects what a defender does then doesnt seem right really.

Technically the defender could have left the ball for the keeper knowing that Haller was offside anyway. But because of the uncertainty and because the dont blow the whistle it means the defender has to do something just in case. Hence the goal. Maybe that is just how the game is now and is something defenders have to get used to.

But no, I dont care other than from a curiosity view on the rules of a game.

No I think interfering with play means what it says. If you get in someone's way you interfere with play. If you block a keeper's view you interfere with play. Simple really.

Haller wasn't in anyone's way and it was a good goal that VAR didn't stop for a change. I really don't understand why you argue for the opposition view!

I’m with Eerie.

Players are now openly praised for “buying” pens. Kane being the golden boy in this area it would seem. It’s the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any appetite whatsoever to clamp down on it that I find even more frustrating.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Fulham - Official Match Thread
I said the same when Newcastle scored many moons ago. it is this interfering with play crap.
If you are standing on the pitch you must be interfering with play as another player has to check where you are.

Which is for the crap goal they gave when we were playing again Newcastle. still makes me angry.

Also that ball went through his legs and they were as he didn't touch it bollocks..
