Imagine if we'd lost 4-1 and were bottom with no points!

Fucking pointless nit picking.

''Rice is a class act in every department''

Apart from fucking Ireland over, you mean, and his comments about the IRA?

He was the captain we were 4-1 up, scuttling over to Noble with 5 left to give him the armband? Completely fucking ridiculous. Hopefully it's the last time he does it and instead focuses on seeing the game out rather than showing his 'class' and licking Noble's ringpiece.

Rice done it out of respect to Noble due no doubt the last 5 years or more Noble has helped him in every part of his career.
Rice is a class act in every department.

Ha ha!

Fucking hell, Manny. "Mr Dreary?"

You project more than an i-Max cinema.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread
Well what a surprise, Mr Dreary himself thought it was ''class'', of course he did.

Wouldn't have been lost on Rice? You mean until the same thing happens next time. It's a fucking nonsense. Rice was the captain, we were 4-1 up, he stays captain to the end, you fucking big minge, and even the mascot Noble agreed.

I'll just wait for Coffee to come along now..

Chim

I think that WAS class, and the symbolism is no small thing. It was like the final act of an anointment. “No, skipper. It’s all yours now.”

It certainly wouldn’t have been lost on Rice.

Chim, sorry mate but if you thought that was ''class'' then you are easily pleased. it's a fucking fiasco with this armband nonsense, even more so with 5 mins left. Rice needs to grow some bollocks as far as that is concerned, you wouldn't have seen Roy Keane doing that.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread
One thing that I noticed from my new seat was once when Benrahma went down after a push in his back that the ref waved away he just sat there pulling up his socks and Moyes was screaming at him to get up.

Benny looked like a little kid and made a motion to Moyes that he'd been pushed but Moyes jumped up in the air screaming that he should just get up and get back into the game, like a dad yelling at his kid on a Sunday morning.

Another thing I noticed that was pretty cool was when Noble appeared on the pitch with five minutes to go Declan ran over with his armband and Nobes refused it and told him to keep wearing it which I thought was class.

All stuff I could never see from my old seat.

I think we are top of several other important stats, such as km covered, speed of transition (saw an interesting stat last season about us being the fastest team from turnover to goal).

Way I’m going to look at it is, given this unprecedented start we’ve made, any failure to invest will be all the more GLARING once the inevitable injury crisis STRIKES and we are lining up against some more stern opposition.

THE IRONS ARE HOT

Not a night to start experimenting against a team that could still be dangerous and Yarmo in particular looked SO up for it.

And let's face it, we're going to have to utilise those players at some point. I thought that it was solid management.

Lanzini, Coventry and Baptiste should have got the last 10 mins.

Moyes seems very reluctant to build for the future.

My shit memory is letting me down again, but didn't we lose (possibly, fail to beat) to two teams which had gone down to ten in successive matches, at least once in the last five years?

chim chim cha boo 11:16 Tue Aug 24
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread
I thought that bizarrely Leicester going down to ten would work against us as we ourselves are a counter-attacking team. I thought they'd sit deeper than they did and pop balls over the top for rat-face to run onto.

I think Rogers' arrogance is such that going in at half time a goal and man down would have meant that he'd still fancy getting something out of the game. Nothing wrong with a bit of arrogance and self-belief of course but he picked the wrong West Ham on the wrong night.

I couldn't believe how much we still wanted it second half. Wave after wave of attacking until we just wore them down to nothing.

A brilliant performance. More on Saturday please only this time I'll print the fucking tickets out myself.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Leicester - Official Match Thread
Great all round the team although I did feel a Leicester goal was inevitable at some point.

We do recover well from conceding these days though.

Antonio was fucking immense in the second half.

Moyes is turning into a right fat cunt.
