Yeah it's looking like a big 3 now with 5 clubs including us looking at 4th. I really think we should look to get in another no 9 to back up Antonio in Jan. Yeah I know we'll pay over the odds but I think this could be our best chance to get 4th. Once Ole is gone and Man U get their act together the chance could be gone.

What motivates a club to rest up its entire first choice XI and then start time-wasting at 0-0 with 80 minutes left?
They sacrificed a lot of their opportunity in Europe to play for a draw?
It makes no sense.
They've wasted so much time over the years that time-wasting has become part of their club identity, and they just can't help themselves - that's the best I can come up with.

Spurs were not great but we didnt let them play.. According to stats they didnt have a single shot in the 2nd half... How can they be unlucky if the didnt even manage a shot..

Coventry going on loan was crazy. Trying to make a player/man of him by going to a guaranted struggling team was nonsense. he could of learnt more by playing in the LC and Europa League.

Their time wasting in the first half was shocking, Lloris in particular. Don’t remember Nuno being as negative at Wolves. They are going backwards.

It was Romero on Fornals, wasn’t it? It worked wonders for us as it got the crowd going just at the right time. Romero acted like a right prick.

I thought that was a clear foul by Royal as well, didn’t understand much of what was going on. Really thought we were getting a free kick. I’m sure Royal said something very insulting in Spanish to Fornals.
I love how Fornals is becoming a proper fighting British midfielder, really starting to put it about, hope he doesn’t get sent off one of these days.

I don't think Royal actually spat at Fornals, and no-one on the pitch seemed to be claiming that he did.
He did bend over and say something to provoke Fornals, something bad enough to get him a card. And it is only what he said, as the ref didn't give a foul, but a throw.
Which was bloody odd, as Royal clearly took Fornals legs from under him.

I was looking at the table and Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City look like opening up a gap and pulling away from the rest, but we are in there still in touch, would be lovely if we could keep in touch and pull away a bit with them.
I thought we played ok, cannot understand if someone says we shouldn’t have won. Are those comments to the posts from the Spurs forum?
Our midfield was better than theirs, our defense was better than theirs and our attack was better than theirs. Our attack does struggle to creat good chances and some of our play in the opposition penalty area is almost comical. But we keep moving the ball forward and trying to attack, eventually it pays of we grind them down, lose the ball go again and again, thats why we get the set pieces and the goals. Also we defend well the counter attacks, so not too much problem that we keep attacking as we get back to stop the opposition.

Anyone who thinks that Spurs deserved to win that yesterday knows nothing about football.
It weren’t a great game, we were poor in attack and good in defence, they were poor all over.
Passing a ball around the back does not constitute controlling a game.
It definitely didn’t look like a 4th v 6th in the best league in the world, maybe Europe and Sunday at 2 kills it a bit but not once yesterday was I concerned about them scoring.
Nothing they did was good, so saying they deserved a win is as a delusional thing you’ll hear from one of them absolute lunches.
We started stronger for first 20 mins, they then got a foot on the ball and played themselves in. They had a small passage before and after half time, it then reverted into an even game, we were started to push up a little, we then got the goal and sat back and saw it out.
Far from a classic but we did what we had to do to win. Spurs didn’t have a shot on target all second half, how can they expect to win.
It is still only 9 games, it is still close up there and only 2 points separate us but that is the worse Spurs side I have seen in long long time.

What I’ve heard and what has happened over the past 24 hours has been absolutely been great for us. We beat Spurs. And everyone outside the fan base saying Tottenham were unlucky. Blah,blah,blah. Then Manchester red get spanked at home. And it becomes a national crisis. And one or fans ain’t too happy because we aren’t getting too much coverage. But that’s a great thing. While the talking heads in the media are having a breakdown over ManU collapsing. Arsenal stuttering. And Spurs great saviour firing blanks. We are going about our business quietly. And putting a cushion between us and fifth place. Long may it continue.
