Happy Australia Day, well for some anyway!
|
Being marked here by protests and marches against the evil colonialist, invasion day its now called by the unwashed and woke elite......
Meanwhile everyone else has a BBQ a few beers or heads to the beach.
This from a Greens senator, how anyone votes for these utter cunts is beyond me? said the founding of the Country was a declaration of war, LOL

“A war that was declared on our people more than 200 years ago,” Senator Thorpe said in an extraordinary speech, in which she said black women were still being raped by “them”.
Loud shouts of “shame” met Ms Thorpe’s consecutive declarations, given with red-painted hands symbolising violence and in which she held a “war stick”.
“That war has never ended in our country against our people. They are still killing us. They are still stealing our babies. They are killing our men. They are still raping our women.

Australian Love Poem Of course I love ya Darlin You're a bloody top-notch bird And when I say you're gorgeous I mean every single word So ya bum is on the big side I don't mind a bit of flab It means that when I'm ready There's somethin' there to grab So your belly isn't flat no more I tell ya, I don't care So long as when I cuddle ya I can get my arms round there No Sheila who is your age Has nice round perky breasts They just gave in to gravity But I know ya did ya best I'm tellin' ya the truth now I never tell ya lies I think it’s very sexy That you've got dimples on ya thighs I swear on nanna's grave now The moment that we met I thought you was as good as I was ever gonna get No matter what u look like I'll always love ya dear Now shut up while the cricket’s on And fetch another beer..

Of course not citizenship is for life.
As I said they won't decline entry, but you need a visa to board a plane and I couldn't get one.

My boy is near to getting his PR status so he can travel back and forth at will but he has had his moments with visa's once or twice. Same for some of his UK mates who have gone to visit tho none of them have been refused entry.

fraser - Well the Yanks can't get into their own country now with an expired passport, so who knows what the current Aus rule is.

It might complicate check in, but you would normally leave the UK on your UK passport.

I can't find proof of it, but citizenship doesn't expire like a visa does. I expect a lot of people's passports expired while they were stuck overseas during the COVID travel restrictions. For some reason an Australian passport is really expensive. I believe it's the most expensive in the world.

Obviously if I got there I'd get in.. But I don't think they'd let me board the plane.

fraser - I think you're right, doubt you'd be allowed in, citizen or not, or at best you'd get a load of grief on arrival, but maybe the Cheeze talks from personal experience?
Also saw this: U.S. citizens will not be allowed to use their expired U.S. passport for direct return to the United States after June 30, 2022. If a U.S. citizen overseas has an expired U.S. passport, please contact your nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate to apply for a U.S. passport.

That's so true, such a massive gulf between the inner cities and outer suburbs from woke pc to full on red neck :-)

Feet.
I spend a bit of time over there as my Mrs is from Melbourne and my boy is in Perth. The big cities over there are gone, especially Melbourne. The woke stuff is out of control tho like the UK, once you get away from the big city's, life is pretty normal apart from the blatant racism towards the Abo's. Seen some dreadful behaviour from some of that community but is it any wonder when they are treared so poorly?

Haz - Nice one
Feet - don't worry I think you'd love it there, as Trundle said they're extremely racist, you'd fit right in.

Re: Happy Australia Day, well for some anyway! If you really have a passport, it doesn't matter if it's expired for entry to Australia, but you wouldn't be able to go anywhere else on it.
If I really have one?
Why would I lie about it.. So I'd be able to board a flight and enter Australia with it, surely would be a load of aggro.
I obviously have a British passport but thought as an Australian citizen I needed an Australian passport to enter.

Just read some of the reports about all the protest matches and how for a 3rd year running Sydney has banned Australia Day festivities.
Australia was my last beacon of hope but it seems they are joining us in hell.

Frase - yeah, they let me back in now for holidays! Mind you, I had to lie on my visa application and say no, I've never been deported! And no,, I don't have a criminal record!
Bit rich I thought, being deported FROM Australia. Thought it was the other way round?

The BBC cricket page had an interview with some Aussie female cricketer who said it was a disgrace that an international match had been arranged on Australia Day, a day when she wanted to mourn the loss of her relatives and protest against the stealing of her ancestors lands.
Instead of being such a fucking Doris why not just make yourself unavailable for the game? Simple really.

It’s difficult when that minority happens to represent actual real original (clue is in their name) Australians….the lack of self awareness of those invading ‘Australians’ where their governments have even tried to breed them out is quite extraordinary….no wonder they are mainly a fucked up part of Aussie society as the invaders introduced them to the lowest of the low rung on the ladder of society in their own fucking country….
