Joggers who run in the road not the pavement.
|
What’s this all about? Are they trying to be involved in an accident that was entirely their fault? Should they wear number plates and pay road tax? They get quite arsey if you sound your hooter at them after swerving around them.

I did also think that they are so crap at driving over here was due to them not knowing where they were driving .

But you do know the pavement over here is the road... the pavement is the sidewalk..
Confused me when I first got here.

And cyclists on the crowded pavement when there's a fucking cycle lane, let alone a road anyway, to cycle on.
Accidents waiting to happen. It's got worse with all the rental e bikes and electric scooters. Again they expect you to just jump out of the way, even if they are coming up behind you and you can't see or hear them.

Exactly. Likewise I was taught as a kid by my dad to be polite and let other people through where I can etc. Shame so few people seem to have been taught any manners.
'Don't mention it' is my usual go to.

It’s joggers in the bike path that’s the problem here. AND they get all pissy if you try to tell them to fuck off to the pavement where they should be.

Quite. I'm old school and always open doors for people and show politeness to others as a general rule of thumb. If they don't have the basic decency to acknowledge my kindness my saying "thank you" or putting their hand up if driving, I make a point of sarcastically shouting to them "No problem" to embarrass them for their rudeness.

What's all this then?
Car drivers being more self-entitled than other road users because they "obviously" pay more tax?
Won't hear of it.

What pisses me off is that when you make way for a jogger/runner on the pavement and it's obvious to them you've done so, as a courtesy to them so they don't have to stop even though you're not obliged to in the slightest, the rude cunts don't bother acknowledging it and just carry on like it's their divine right to have other pavement user part like the red seas for them. Some do have some manners, but the vast majority do not.
Then again, same applies to other walkers as well, and with letting people in and out of doorways. The world is full of rude self important cunts.

Interestingly, there are quite a lot of clubs with ' Roadrunners' in their name and it's not illegal to run on a road
I manage to run on the road without causing cars to 'swerve' and i can't say i've ever had to swerve a road runner myself. Usually just slow down and wait for them to pass safely
It's the cunts who drive/park up on the pavement that are more of a problem

No jogged since the 70s.
No one group is 'all wankers' just ridiculous statement.
A general but not hard and fast rule
Runners that Drive make more considerate runners Cyclist that Drive make more considerate cyclists Walkers that Drive make more considerate Walkers
One hard and fast rule: A selfish, self absorbed wanker will always be one regardless of hobby or mode of transport.

That woman who got 3 years for waving her hands at a cyclist and saying "get off the fucking pavement" to which the cyclist went into road and got hit by car and died must be doing her nut

I believe that the Highway Code refers to "Road Users" in it's content, not "Car Drivers".

I drive and I cycle. Most drivers and cyclists are bell ends. Not me of course. I’m brilliant.
