Agreed Leeds will not score a lot of goals against us so will not be threatening our goal difference. If they happen to go a goal or two up against us they will totally shut up shop rather than risk trying to score more for the sake of GD to overtake us. That is not their aim. They just need to try and overtake Everton and/or Forest.
But we will beat them anyway of course.

He won’t rest Rice and Bowen when it’s over 2 weeks until the final if we get through. It is also most likely to be Rice’ last ever home appearance which again is another reason he won’t be rested. The key will be ensuring the players stay fit and sharp between the end of season and final

Manuel.
Yea its a big time gap between weekend and the final but Moyes is known for his cautioys approach. Not sure he'll risk Rice, Bowen et al picking up a hamstring injury or a groin strain when there's a trophy at stake.

I really don't think we will be resting players in our last home game a full 17 days before the final. Agree it will be like a morgue though if we lose tomorrow, or maybe even toxic.

If it was a choice I'd like to see Everton & Leicester go. Always a great atmosphere at Leeds and like their madcap football .... even if it means Fat Cunt picking up a couple of million. Actually would look forward to his post match EGO
Obviously want Leeds to get tonked Sunday but they can thrash Spurs. Everton can get done at Wolves and then choke against Bournemouth when their keeper refuses a Hans Seger style BUNG to throw some in

I can see Leeds turning us over on Sunday, especially if Everton fail to win at Wolves. If we get through on Thursday, the ' big hitters' will be rested and those playing wont be throwing themselves about to much. Should we get knocked out, the place will be like a morgue and i see the Tykes taking advantage of that.

Think I prefer teams to go down who have players that could improve us. Or conversely who, if they stayed up, would only need a couple additions that could dramatically improve their fortunes next season.
Everton and Leicester fit that bill better than Forest and Leeds for me.

Personally would like to see Everton lose on Saturday Leeds coming to our place, getting a draw That would set it up very nicely for the last day to be a straight shoot out between Leeds and Everton and literally a goal or 2 in it. Everton and home to Bournemouth should be a nailed on win and I can see Leeds turning up against Spurs. Everton or Leeds could go down by a goal. That would be the perfect ending to a mad relegation battle.

Not 100 pct safe my arse. There’s much more chance of a nuke landing on your head than we going down - FFS

This home game on Sunday could be the very best of the entire season. Cant wait.

RP Won't need a result on Sunday if Everton fail to beat Wolves on Saturday.

I think even as site pessimist, Leeds under BFS will not be scoring lots of goals and at the same time conceding far fewer. He will improve the defensive side but his history is of teams winning by the odd goal. So even if they win against us and we lose to Leicester too it won’t turnaround a -0 goal margin.
Yes we are West Ham, the masters of “snatching defeat from the jaws of victory” but on this particular occasion even we won’t manage to fvck it up. We might well just stay up on goal difference which might be a blessing if it gives Sullivan the fortitude to terminate Moyes employment.

Basically we would need to lose both games badly and teams that have barely won all season to win two on the trot.
This being West Ham you can't get rid of the nagging insecurity of this but highly unlikely. May do us good to have something to play for though.

Its’s not a 12 goal turnaround it’s an 11 goal turnaround as it goes to goals scored if GD is the same and Leeds have scored more goals than us.
If we lose to both Leeds and Leicester 3-0 and Leeds beat the Spurs 2-0 then they would come above us in goals scored.
Whilst unlikely it’s not the most ridiculous set of results to happen.
Need a point on Sunday to put it to bed

I work with a Palace fan and he said the same thing when they employed Woy. He said that they’d stay up but not because of the change of manager. He came in at the start of the easiest run in of any of the clubs in the league. Reckons it was a pointless sacking.

Likewise if Forest lose to Arsenal. I'm simply not having a minimum 18 goal swing as an option

We aren't 100% safe yet, unlikely we will go down but not impossible.
