Good solid display against a very poor opposition.
Im not giving this one to BFS as he still refused to add another striker (Baldock) when we were on top and Taylor obiously was playing shit.
VazTe ade us look like playing 4-4-2, even if the lineup was another 4-5-1.

Barnsley were awful. Yes you can only beat what's in front of you and yes we did it well. Let's see how we do Monday, Either way we shouldn't be hoping for others to fuck up with 5 games to go.

Yep, he has made an absolute fucking pigs ear of it. SIX home games without a win? That is shameful in anyones book. If we don't go up the blame will lie firmly at the feet of BFS. We should be winning this league comfortably, but due to his stubborness and negativity we are now chasing two sides who on paper are far inferior to us.

Barnsley were awful and i think any Conference side would have given them a game.
When you can't beat sides like Doncaster and all the rest who have taken points from us at home,then quite simply, you don't deserve to go up.

We played well against a team that didn't turn up but we can only beat what is in front if us.
What a shame BFS hasn't been so positive with his expensively assembled squad earlier in the season when it counted.

Fair point BMU I'd forgotten they have to play each other, BUT we must start winning our home games and Monday's is massive! If we beat Brum I'll start believing it's game on again, shame Leeds couldn't have taken a point off 10 man Reading today, but it was great to see us play so positively, long may it continue

Exactly, faceman, would get the fans on side and the atmosphere up immediately.
and with the way teams set up defensively against us at UP, its precisely what would help us to break them down and create some space.
On another note, it was an absolute joy to hear Sir Trev talking football. The FA rather stiffed us getting him in rather than us having him here for life.

I said similar to Ron during the first half. That extra work rate in closing down would spur the home fans on no end. Just the sort of desire and passion our home games often miss.

Couldn't agree more, Bmu.
Well done to him. High tempo, pressure all over the pitch, intensity, imposed ourselves on the opposition, forced errors from them, and all of that created enough space for us to play some decent football.
We are a simple breed, and if we approach home games in the same way, all will be well again.
