Only a DIV would pay over the odds to go in the Blackpool end, surely?

Re: 28000 tickets sold at Blackpool
We can't get anymore tickets because of the segregation issues. It's not as straight forward as moving the segregation seats a bit further down as the concourse that leads to multiple blocks cannot be segregated (we've already done that anyway to get an additional 500, maybe a few more can be squeezed out this way but it wont be many). Someone on another thread suggested a wire mesh or a line of stewards to segregate the concourse. That is not a realistic solution. It may have been easier if the Northern Monkeys hadn't sold tickets in all the blocks available to them. Maybe they could have held back on all the blocks attached to one concourse but it appears that they havn't.

So we are where we are unfortunately. It's not great but can't really see what can be done about it now.

I do and have done for over 40 years but the point i was making is,given that the tickets are going spare, if its ok for their fans who dont go on a regular basis then why is it not ok for our fans.

How many of our 35k "go on a regular basis"?

Re: 28000 tickets sold at Blackpool
Whatever the situation, if I hadn't been to a match this season then I wouldn't expect to get a ticket or think I was entitled to one.

I would try, obviously, but I wouldn't automatically expect it.

Re: 28000 tickets sold at Blackpool
I cant see why we shouldn't get the extra tickets, when you consider that 50% of the 28000 they've sold to dont go on a regular basis.

I have no idea what Garstang is like but I've always had the impression it's a shithole just from the name.

Take off the tickets bought by our fans & the multiple tickets they were allowed to buy for their wives, kids, grannies, the town idiot & their dog and they've prob only sold around 20k to real fans.

Rubbish, West Ham have something like 90k-100k unique fans each season, meaning that that many different WHU fans watch us each season!

Re: 28000 tickets sold at Blackpool
Blackpool's ticket take up was always going to be slower than ours. It takes a good couple of days to reach the ground by donkey from places like garstang.

Re: 28000 tickets sold at Blackpool
Why should we be entitiled to the tickets, it will only go to shit fans that have not been in 5 years because they can't be arsed, que the work commitments etc etc.
