We've shown it once again this season.
Sending thousands of supporters to every away game, particularly with nearly 7,000 to Coventry, 5,000 at Peterborough, giving Brighton and Southampton their highest ever attendances at their respective grounds...
Filling Upton Park almost to the brim if not sold-out every week, in spite of charging overall the 4th highest prices in the Premier League (not Championship) according to one BBC survey.
Wembley was yet another fine example of such terrific support, a stadium we would've filled entirely on our own had we been allowed. Not content with filling our own section and setting a play-off final attendance record in the process, we then had thousands in the opposition end in spite of the restrictions made to stop that from happening.
Whatever division we're in, you can be nothing but truly proud of the support of West Ham United and it is one of the many reasons why, in stature, West Ham United are firmly a top division club and numerically one of the best supported clubs in the country.
For the attendances this season West Ham United must be a top ten club, particularly when considering the prices charged as aforementioned. Many clubs in the Premier League would never have come close to our attendances in the conditions.
West Ham United has so many great traditions, from having the best Academy in the country over footballing history to trophies won and the traditions of introducing good football to this country when long-ball was the normal order.
However above all. and what will never change, pride in West Ham must come from the supporters we have. I love every single one of you for the way we have performed this season and we must get better and better, in both numbers and noise. There is no doubt the Football League will have wanted us to remain for all the money our attendances were bringing to other clubs' coffers. Time to remind the Premier League what they have missed out on.
Best supporters in the land.
