Ive said for years there must (MUST) be promising early 20's full backs in the Football League who can make it and could be had for £1m or so.
Right back particularly is a position we have seemingly found impossible to fill permanently in the last 15 years apart from with Lucas Neill.

Simon Webster eventually made a few appearances from what I remember. He was pretty good. It was a tragedy what happened to him in training.
Didn't something similar happen to another defender we got from Soton? Richard Hall?
It would be great to get this Charlton lad - he sounds pretty decent.

Sorry but I think bringing in a high rated 21 year old as back up/competion for Guy Demel is a pretty good move. We also have JOB that can play there as well.
So for me this is a far smarter way to go......

KIA, not sure. Maybe someone from abroad as everyone here's too expensive.
Still, the youngsters that we've bought from Charlton in the past have done well:
Billy Bonds - two-time FA Cup-winning captain who played fuck knows how many games for us.
JUDAS Defoe - did very well for us before fucking-off after our relegation; throwing a hissy fit or two before he got his move...

It would be a bit of a gamble.
He's only 21-years-old and was playing League One football last season although he obviously done very well.
Personally, I'd rather we signed a more experienced and proven full-back.

At his best Solly could be the next Philip Lahm. That kind of player. My Lars Jacobsson with more potential assessment was maybe a bit harsh in hindsight.
