Perhaps he's been shown a similar list of names that Lucas Neill was by the Icelandics and promised that QPR would be playing champions league football within 5 years.

Josh - you dont think that Henderson will be our number one keeper then?

It depends what he's being promised. They could be saying that Fernandes is going to go mental and spend tens of millions on all sorts of players.

It doesn't sit too comfortably with me to be honest. He's making a bit of extra money and maybe getting a signing on fee, but I can't see this being a great move for him.

I think it's good for us to have some sort of wage structure. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Green probably drew his line and refused to move from it. Nothing new there.

He'll be playing Championship football again, the season, after next; playing in-front of piss-poor clubs and, no doubt, having had a pay-cut...

As I say, curious move but that's his problem not ours.

Green strikes me as a bit of a fucking wanker, to be honest.

sorry to see him leave but we have taken bigger blows on the chin and got over them in the past.

Re: Green signs for QPR on £50k a week...
Good luck to him as he owes us nothing and has been, in the main, very good for us.

A bit surprised that he's gone to QPR and perhaps a bigger club didn't want him and/or QPR were offering silly wages but that's academic really.

He's not a slave and we're not modern-day plantation owners.

He had a legal contract of employment that he chose, not to renew. He became unemployed and like any fine Englishman sought employment elsewhere within the industry (for it is just that) that he knew best. Should he have signed-on the rock'n'roll instead?

If this story is true, he found an employer and agreed terms & conditions with them, in exactly the same way anybody in any other profession would.

Why does anybody have a problem with what he's allegedly done?

So he will be on the same money as Kevin Nolan... strange as tehy probably cover the same mileage in a game as well....

Mervyn Day for a couple of years was as good a keeper I have seen at our place.... and then he got married...

Ludo's 92-93 season (the season we got promoted IIRC) was pretty special as well.... on the top of his game

If he can find someone mug enough to pay him 50000 english pounds a week for catching an inflated pigs bladder on an occasional basis, I say good for him.

Josh spot on, nothing's for ever and if he's that greedy for an extra £250k a year then good luck to him, this was on the cards two years ago

Re: Green signs for QPR on £50k a week...
Ronnie, lets not forget Green only had one pretty awful season of PL experience before we signed him as well, the rest of his football, something like 170 league game were in the Championship where he played a good number of years without being snapped up..........

Re: Green signs for QPR on £50k a week...
I say thanks and goodbye. I really dont see what the problem is.

We will have a goalkeeper in place by the start of the season who is as good as Green or better.
