112th U.S. Open Golf Championship
really looking forward to the second major of the year. Olympic Club will provide a very tough test with an extremely difficult opening six holes

i was tempted to back Westwood, Donald and Poulter but instead have backed JASON DUFNER who is playing superbly at the moment and will have the much needed accuracy for a course like this

It'll be hard to bounce back from that. He's probably looking at a double-bogey minimum.

If he can escape with just a bogey, it could have a positive effect - in a weird way.

back break for Lee, his ball getting stuck up a tree. might be his chance gone.

Re: 112th U.S. Open Golf Championship
A solid start by both Furyk and McDowell.

It looks like someone will have to shoot a very good round to get close to either of those two.

Still early days though and Westwood will be happy at getting that birdie right after the bogey.

Woods has imploded already.

4 over for the day after just 3 holes - 8 over for the tournament.

Re: 112th U.S. Open Golf Championship
Miike,

Hope they set it up a bit easier like they do in the Masters on the Sunday .
The early scores from the back markers aren't great but most are only starting the back nine

Colsaert could be a good shout. hits it long enough. Temperament for a Major unknown territory.

Extra caffeine on stand by for late night. The football is getting interesting now.

Re: 112th U.S. Open Golf Championship
it should be a great final round. i wouldn't put it past Colsaerts winning it. he's been great over the last two seasons and has really improved his short game. if he's driving straight then he'll have loads of chances

also heard the commentators say they're planning to seriously shorten a few holes tonight including the par 5 16th. should make things exciting

True Pagey.

I've gone Goosen @ 80/1 ew. breaking 80 shots might be his problem.
