I had Netflix and cancelled the freebie because the content was so awful.
As has been said, there are loads of foreign kiddie programmes that you would never have heard of and some TV stuff from years ago but forget the movies. Unfortunately movies is what I want
Unbelievably bad content because the people that own the content still want to sell you DVD and Blue Ray disks for 20 quid a pop rather than get peanuts for a single viewing.
If you want it, buy the American version, much better content.
By the way, I love my lovefilm subscription, well worth it.

Groupon have got three months lovefilm - unlimited dvds (max 3 at a time) and supposedly unlimited streaming, for £9.99
I thought I would give it a go as me and Mrs Double Penetration wanted to watch the new Sherlock film - £3.50 via sky box office, so thought we would give it a go, logged in and all the new films like sherlock2 etc cost an extra £3.50 each to watch which they call box office as well, so not really unlimited - you can get them on DVD/Bluray as part of the deal, but the whole point of these things is instant access - totally crap selection of films on the instant streaming package!!

I had Netflix and used it until I had watched all the good films, documentaries and tv series and then canned it because it very rarely has new releases unless it is some Bollywood shit.
It's worth it for a couple of months I'd say - lovefilm streaming is jut bollocks but they have better films by post.
I think iTunes maybe the way to go and pay as you want ad choose better films.

What?? for streaming?? right you are.
Ive been streaming for year and I know of no one who has been disconnected for streaming.
They cant prove who was doing the streaming in the household. Could be me, could be my 10 year old daughter. Too hard to police so they dont even bother.
Stream away to your hearts content my Gold Friend, safe as houses.

I like forward to the day those of you that get it for free get a knock on your door to tell you your internet has been disconnected and/or you have a £3000 fine to pay.

The US version has a huge amount of films and TV series and the quantity and quality is far better than LoveFilm's. The interface itself is much more responsive and better presented than LoveFilm as well.
It costs another £3-4 a month to use a service like Unblock US to access US servers but definitely worth it. You can browse through what they have on the US version of Netflix here:

If you can get the US version, then it's pretty good. It has loads of stuff compared to the UK version.

I have them both.admittedly only the newer Love Film instant which BTW is shockingly bad !
Netflix is good if you have young children who can be entertained for hours on cartoons and general kiddie pgms.
it; also good for old series like Spooks, 24, etc, if you missed them 1st time around
Admittedly the film library is not great but to me it;s all about having options
I have apple Tv as well !

If you only watch 2 films a month it is still worthwhile.
Got to be better than Sky Movies?
