We got quite lucky in the tournament but there was great team spirit... our luck just fell apart in the semi... never noticed until I watched it last night was Lothar Mattheus consoling all the England team rather than celebrating with the rest of his krauty mob

Was that team not expected to do well then? Looked a good squad to me, minus one or two, but you get that in all international squads.
I remember the Cameroon match, vaguely, but not much else as I was 4.

Quite brilliant.... brought back some memories that's for sure... the bit at the end when Robson is consoling Gazza and they print out what was said...brought a proper golf ball to my throat that...

Did they show when we burnt down the campsite buildings the night before after Juve ultras tried to storm us, and when we used the large floodlight bulbs as bombs to throw at the police, happy days.

As someone said before, lots of similarities with the current campaign.
Lack of expectation helps the players, no pressure.
I bought One Night in Turin just after is came out, great dvd & highlights two big lossses to the game.
Bobby Robson's managment & Gazza's talent.
