I don't think it does send our the 'wrong' message to potential signings.
It sends out a message to players and agents that the chairmen are in charge and that they won't be fucked around for a few extra grand.
Green was a great keeper, but not irreplaceable. Teams with worse keepers than Green have done well in the Premier League. We should take heart from that fact.

Okay keeper, great at penalties, hardly will shed a tear he's gone though.
I was present at a few games under the wonderful guidance of the over qualified Avram Grant, where Green would simply give up after a half-arsed attempt to stop a shot on goal, he would stand shoulders drooped, eyes and arms down in resignation...only the ball hadn't been cleared and the second attempt more times than not went wide or was cleared by a defender.
Sometimes it went in the net...
His attitude stunk of shit during that period, not forgetting one game where me and my mate witnessed him rudely smashed through a keen young kid running up to him with a water bottle after the game, bloke was a bit of a cunt if truth be known.
Now he's a moody cunt that plays for Rangers

Can't say it will be a big loss for us, he was an ok keeper nothing more though. We haven;t had a really decent keeper since Ludo retired.

I liked Green. Good, solid keeper and very porfessional.
Just something about him that I didn't quite level with........Perhaps the fact that he was an utter miserable cunt.

Pretty shrewd move from Greeno I'd say.
Doesn't have to move from his lovely house in Hampstead, back in the Premiership at a club where he'll get LOTS and LOTS of practice and he'll be a favourite player for all 19000 of them.
Big signing-on fee, if he plays out of his skin a really big team will come in for him (or spurs) and if they're relegated someone else will give him another big signing-on fee.
I loved Greeno, still do, but I hope QPR have a stinker next season as it'll be one of the three clubs we hope and pray are worse than us. It's nothing personal.
He'll get a big round of applause from me as he was a great goalie throughout six absolutely mental (and mostly horrible) seasons at West Ham.
