Yep it's all over Twatter but also made its way onto the radio that West Ham and Palace have agreed a fee for Zaha and the player is at Upton Park discussing terms and will undergo a medical tomorrow.
Make of it what you will.......

I am still disappointed we never signed Rod Fanny a season or so back. Who cares if he would be any good at full back, his name is what I wanted on the back of my shirt. Maybe Rod on the front and Fanny on the back ? :)
Returning to the Zaha discussion, I assume its all about the money now for a few of these supposed targets. We will be no wiser until teh ink has dried on the paper unless Dump or one of the few trusted ITKs has the scoop. then again, Dump knows to his cost that you cannot trust anyone with information on here. They tore him a new one when one of the transfers last season broke down at the final hurdle as is often the case.

I dont doubt for a minute that we are seeking out another right back but we do have one and a half decent if not ideal back up.
The FACT is we don't have any left backs beyond Danny Potts unless you want to consider Matt Taylor but he falls into the same being ripped to bits category as JOB does.

I'm not sure about Demel and O'Brien WILL get ripped to pieces in the Prem at RB - Spector Style!...but like the latter he may be able to do a reasonable job in defensive midfield when called upon.
Clyne can also fill in at left-back - His regular position is right back but he has played a lot of games on the other side.
However, I do think we need 2 players for each defensive position - nobody filling in on their wrong foot please...we've had enough of that in the past and got relegated because of it

Not sure what I'm meant to be taking on the chin to be honest, seems this thread with over 400 posts as generated plenty of serious West Ham debate and the merits or not of this player, along with plenty of the normal abuse that goes with any thread I start.
Thankfully I'm more than capable of taking what I dish out, so the faceless that have a dig just add to the humour of the thread.

Well the current right back weve got seems to be made of glass. Perhaps he just needs a decent pre-season, but if that's not the case and he is just injury prone then we would need another right back. Only time will tell on that one.
I dont really rate Joey O'Brien personally. Think he would get torn apart in the Prem. So I reckon another right back is required in any case. Considering weve been linked with Chris Solly, Danny Simpson, some French bloke whose name escapes me now and now Clyne, perhaps BFS is thinking the same.
