I actually like the Germans and the country. In fact, its one of the nicest places to go in Europe and they are very simular to us in some respect.
I just will never want their football team to do well. That also goes with Scotland and France but the above does not stand as the majority are utter twats!

Very strange.
Although I thought PEDRO was excellent when he came on, at least he wanted to get the ball and be a bit more direct.

Spain are quality at passing , but christ they are boring . I thank god the back pass rule has gone , they would be just like Liverpool of the 70s constantly exploiting it .
08 I thought they were brilliant , but 10 -12 the first 10 mins I am generally mesmerised , then bored and then mystified as the passing becomes very shoddy , but they seem to do enough 1 nil or win in extra time or pens .
Bring on the Germans although for me they have the look until they win something of the classic chokers , bit like how the Dutch have been bar 88!

Absolutely. It was definitely their downfall- going into a major tournament with Poostiga as their starting striker. Absolute shame with all that talent around him.
I agree, and I think they could have gone all the way with a good striker.
My Portugese mate reckons Olivera will be good. I find it funny they used him so sparingly, given the lack of talent in that position ahead of him. They could do some serious damage in 2014.
