I enjoy a couple of hours a year watching tennis - any more, and I get bored.
Didn't bother with the Murray match as it clashed with a 6-a-side game of football.

What about people who follow tennis all year round? Or people who follow tennis as well as football, cricket, rugby and other sports?
Sure, there are those who only follow tennis for two weeks a year at Wimbledon, but the same can be said for those who only follow rugby for the 6 natiions/WC or cricket during the Ashes, or football for the WC/Euros.
Just because there are a load of 'fairweather' tennis fans out there, that doesn't make it any less of a sport!

I love tennis, always have. Something gladiatorial about it, man against man, no team mates, nowhere to hide & noone to blame.
very little luck involved & you've got to be fitter than most other sportsman to cope with it.
I agree about the crowd, was down there last week & it's full of the "need to be seen" crowd you get at Lords, Ascot, Henley etc.
Not Apton fackin PArk on a Saturday that's for sure.

Jacobs on Talk Sport summed it up nicely last week.... he said it's a Sport that people are into that are not really into sport... and it made sense to me... my Mum hates football, cricket, horse racing, rugby... but loves tennis.... that's the Wimbledon mob for ya...

Didn't even bother watching... was having great fun over the Robin Hood Country show... got the Black Lab to do speed ball.... next year will be putting him in the Dock Dog jumps.... saw the UK record go today... well down the Golden retriever Oscar (26 foot and 9 inches)... we'll be after your title next year...
Anyway we had far more fun than watching that gay fest this afternoon

Murray just isn't a winner any more than Henman was. Federer was not at his best today but still thumped him 3 sets to 1.
Murray is all huff and puff, posturing and feigning injury and Federer is cool and classy.
Plenty of time for Murray to try and win it again but there are players better than him and he chokes at every Grand Slam. Mummy will be so upset.
