Got one lined up for 4.30pm today, first interview i've had in 5 years, it's for an IT job I'm failry certain is a bit too high level for me, but they want to see me regardless.
Question is, do I go in and blag it to the best of my ability or do I be honest and tell them I've not got a clue what sort of lead goes into the back of an ITIL or how many virtual machines it takes power a flymo?

I wouldn't blag it because you will get found out soon enough for sure, plus you are going to be a nervous wreck right from day 1. You will also have a job on your CV that didn't last long that you will have to explain at your next interview.

I'm a MSSQL dba. Personally, I think its very hard to blag an IT position if the interviewers know their stuff. 1st interviews are mostly technical so get ready for a grilling. Best policy is to be honest, if you do not know or have no experience in something say so. Its better that trying to blag something and have an interviwer sitting there knowing you're talking shit.

No point in blagging - It could hurt you down the line
Honesty is the best policy - Just put it to them that you can learn techie stuff easily but they need to get the right PERSON, the knowledge is the easy bit
Or some shit like that!
