The Hand and Flower - Parnell Road, E3

This pub has been shut for a while (it was a rough and ready old place at the end of it's last life) but now seems to be getting spruced up. Hopefully to re-open as a pub again.
It's literally 15mins walk from Olympic stadium so could become a good pre-match local for those that live that way. Before it closed I noticed a big 6ft ICF logo on the toilet wall (painted claret and blue) so the place has west ham history. Anybody know whats happening to it now or much about its previous life?

I walked past the other day and I'm afraid it looked like it was getting done up as an eatery - had a couple of steel fryer/oveny-looking units in there and a few bits. I sincerely hope not as pubs down the Roman are getting a bit of a rarity as well as all along Roman Road in total in fact. From one on virtually every corner when I was ickle ,all along the length, to only about 3 or 4 the whole length - that's including the Salmon & Ball...sigh!..
Top o' the Morning, Wick Lane on the Hertford Union canal may be a good shout as one near the OS... Should do well...
I can't believe that more haven't opened up yet, I suspect the odd one or two may though if /when we go there...

Went in there once ages back, seemed a good pub. Most round there are tbh, one of my favourite parts of London to go on the piss, despite what people say about whats happened to the area there's still a lot of good people round there and the pubs are usually very welcoming.

I saw it getting fitted up the other day, always good to see an old pub being brought back to life.
There are a lot of great pubs in the area though so it has a lot of competition.
