It was funnier 20 years ago because we were all 20 somethings who were pissed up still recovering from "Cannon and Ball" and "the Two Ronnies"
I even laughed at Dwayne Dibbley, FFS.

I love Red Dwarf, Series 3 and 4 were fantastic.
Therefore I have mixed feelings, like a Blackadder reboot. Maybe it was of it's time.
FFS, Red Dwarf started when I was in school, which i left at 16 and I am now 40!

Even Kryten looks old in that. The worst is Rimmer, which is ironic as he's the one that technically shouldnt age. Oh well, Im sure I'll cringe through a couple of episodes.

Yeah, yeah, the last series and the Dave "special" were rancid, but try watching the first series or two now. Painfully laugh free. I'm sure it was funnier 20 years ago, but maybe my tastes in comedy have matured. Like cheese.
