When I was in New York in march, they were protesting at rises in petrol or gas as they call it. It had gone up to $3.48. A Gallon !

A bit tame in comparison as I have a small, shit car, but I put 30 notes worth in my car yesterday and that only took me up to 3-quarters of a tank (I wasn't even on the red when I filled up). Just after I passed my test nearly 3 years ago, that would've as near as filled the tank up.

One of my sons did some work to my house last week and then took me shopping to Tesco, I said pull over and fill your car up mate, my thank you, son said don't be daft girl. I said no go on mate fill her up.and walk in to pay...£76 later. Ouch .

It is 50p a litre; i bought some washing powder last night, and saved 10p a litre, if I would have bought 5 boxes, I would have got 50p a litre off......but the powder would've lasted me 5 years.
