The massive difference between Diop and Diame, is that Diame is actually very assured on the ball, and can actually pass.
Few times last night Diame found himself central with a lot of space, and spread some decent balls to the flanks.
Thought Senegal were immensely aggressive, maybe overly so, the tackle on Bellamy was outrageous, stone wall penalty.
Thought Sordell looked good as well when he came on, but our stand out player was Richards - absolute monster.

How come he couldnt get in the Wigan side, if he's so assured? And didn't his transfer to Wigan get held up because of questions regarding his ticker?

Well I suppose the main thing that has improved since Brookings playing days is that more often than not we actually qualify for major tournamenmts... oh don't get me wrong we are proper shit when we get there BUT... at least we get there

Brooking's wiki page says he still runs Colbrook Plastics but Company House says that company was dissolved a couple of years ago. Perhaps his factory in Stratford was bought up when the Olympic Park was created. He can now concentrate on all things connected with the beautiful game. What a gent he is!
