I used to live in Tooting and have spent plenty of time in Southall and Hounslow and I think I'm a reasonable judge of a curry.

Angeethi is in herndon and they do a great Sunday buffet lunch; probably 15 different dishes for $13 and they also make a fresh cooked to order dish or two as well. The restaurant is usually full and 80% are Indians.

Nuff said. My vindaloo last night was blistering. Eating the cheese and peas was pointless because I couldn't taste it.

What's the curry like out there VH? I like to sample an 'Indian' in every country I visit

I had a chicken vindaloo last night, with cheese and peas curry from Angeethi, 10 minutes from me. It's fair to say the cobwebs were promptly removed.

I was celebrating parring the front 9 at Lansdowne GC here in Virginia. 6 pars, 2 birdies and a double bogey. Went round the back in 41.

Lowest score ever.

For me it has to be a crab stick Bhuna. Sweet mango chutney and a side order of curried peas.

The exile - they don't, not if decent king prawns are used. In my vindaloo the prominent taste is of king prawn, that's at the very front of your tongue then the curry tast sorta hits the middle of your tongue. Different parts of the tongue detect different flavours therefore not swamping the others but complimenting them.

Got a chicken madras from loughton golf club last night, and it was probably one of the best I have ever had. Fucking handsome.

This thread is like a McDonald's menu of Indian food.

I don't get prawns with curry - they have a delicate flavour which is totally swamped by the spices.

Rezala is what i go for if i dont see a Naga

Thing with Naga is that its a special chilli (the naga chilli) they use, so if they dont have that, they cant make it! But yeh, always worth an ask.

King Prawn Pathia
Lamb Curry
Chicken Tikka
Pilau Rice
Sag Aloo
Dal Massala
Peshwari Naan

Complimentary poppadoms - If they dont come, I stop dealing with that particular curry house.

McBeer - lot of places will do stuff that's not listed on the menu, if you ask.

I like chicken naga as well.

Rezala is another one, that isn't on all menus, but a really good curry.
