James Collins returns to West Ham confirmed Official Site
Collins has signed a four-year contract after re-joining the Hammers from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee, three years after leaving the Boleyn Ground for Villa Park.

Collins said he was happy to be back in east London.

"It's great to be back," 'Ginge' told West Ham TV. "Obviously having been here before and coming back and seeing some of the same old faces is great.

"As soon as I knew the interest was there from West Ham I couldn't wait to get down and sign. I had a great affinity with the club and the fans when I was here the first time and I enjoyed my time here so much last time that it wasn't a hard decision to make, to be honest.

"I think everyone knew that I didn't really want to leave when I did [in 2009] because I was enjoying my time here so much. I've come back and I'm a much better player this time around so I can't wait to get cracking and show the fans that I am a better player and can put in the performances on the pitch.

"I've got so many good memories - getting into the FA Cup final in my first season and finishing so high [ninth] in the league and then the way we escaped relegation that year was one of my fondest memories in football. Hopefully I won't have too many more memories like that!

"I just cannot wait to get back and show the fans what a better player I am now."

After 8, kia. We always have underperforming ownership. Its a bit embarrassing debating who is worse. Quite frankly i woukd take most other teams owners over our current lot with a few obvious exceptions. Still we are stuck with them unless somehow able to undo a lifelong emotional affinity

74 still upset for being exposed over your lack of football knowledge and inability to do research? Never mind get back under that table with sulli. It suits you

Hermit gold phoned the BBC about Carroll. I know this. We should have said " we don't comment on players until they've signed". Sullivan leaks to harry Harris and gets his 12 year old to communicate on Twitter.

As for the pre Icelandic era they weren't perfect. No one is. But they learnt from mistakes. Pardew replaced Roeder and when promoted we invested.

Now with gold and Sullivan we sack Zola then replace him with Grant. We publicly undermine both. We talk to the media about big name signings and don't deliver.

We appoint Sam which I support. We get promoted.

What do we then do? Whip up a media frenzy. We tell the media how much money we have to spend then we imply we want sensible wages being paid and then we bid for Andy Carroll knowing he doesn't want to come.

They may pull it out of the bag but no one can say hand on heart that this summer has gone in a calm considered and professional manner.

8, in the past they did mention big name targets, but they don't seem to do it now, which kind of knocks your argument about them not learning on its arse. I don't know what they've done to you, but it must have been something really bad to get you this irked.

He was only sold by our old board because of the money problems...

He never wanted to leave - Welcome Back, I say

Plus, we get him at his peak 28-32 years

I'm still pissed off Clyne went to Southampton...we need a good young right-back

Pissed off at BFS and the Davids for letting that one slip under the radar

:-(

I'm not running. My company blocks sports websites. It is very annoying.

I've pointed out three areas where I think they've gone wrong. Now later today when I'm back home or if I take a lunch break ill happily give you a fuller explanation of those points but they are fairly obvious.

Kia, Gary Breen has nothing to do with it and yes that didn't set the world alight. You will note that the previous previous board openly admitted they made mistakes and once we got back in the premiership they invested.

This current board makes mistakes but doesn't seem to learn from them. The biggest example to me is announcing big name targets and then not delivering on any of them to date. Now if by some miracle we do sign Carroll I'll be the first to say " well done".

Anyway short of flying all of who over to see my work pc block this website, I'm not sure how to respond further so I will later.

Excellent news! I believe if he hadn't been sold then West Ham wouldn't have been relegated. Welcome back Ginge!

Oh and I'm getting into work now so I won't be on here for a few hours. Thought I'd let you know as last time I didn't sit on this site waiting for you to reply you had a hissy fit at me.

Have a nice evening.

Hmmm. Undermining Zola and then Grant publicy. Ramping up speculation year on year about marquee signings and then not delivering. Telling the media who they want to sign to name but a few.

I am pleased though with Collins signing, should have never have sold him in the first place.

Kia villa told him he wouldnt have his contract renewed. Nothing made up there. Now he is here i am with mr polite on this and many others underwhelmed, but hoping he wont be too awful. If it were one day before the window slammed shut fine but it isnt, oh and its a 4 year sentence for us.
Keep up the propaganda mate. Have other things to do than debate this today. Peace
