The problem that we have is that our best eleven players do not make a good xi.
And I'm worried that Nolan is a bulletproof passenger who won't bring the goals again at prem level.

I'm not saying McCartney isn't good. He is a very solid 7/10 player every game he plays. I just think he isn't getting any younger and against the best sides in the PL who have alot of pace he will struggle over the course of the season. I just think we need a better option there. Also Demel looked dodgy in the Play Off Final. That mistake he made against Hull as well. He can't be doing that in the Prem.
We won't sign another GK, but that is also a weakness.
I really thought there would of been more improvement in the back 4 and GK. Alot more than there has been anyway.

getting yourself a tad mixed up there mate, nobody believes he is an out and out winger, ie playing wide in a 442 formation. however, he has often played the same role that vaz te performed for most of the last season, and thats as a wide forward in part of a front three.

From everything I have seen (very little youtube footage) I would agree.
However many on here believe he is a winger.
Time will tell I guess.
One thing that is damn sure is that we cannot rely on Carlton Cole to lead our line/be our main striker this year.

Completey agree about Vaz Te.
Massive revelation last year. Finally something clicked with the guy and he had the season of his life in the Championship.
He could be a huge hit or massive miss. You get the feeling he is the type of player who won't be somewhere in the middle.

Yeah, I'd bet on that. Although we finally have two keepers to challange for 1st place, I haven't got much faith in either.

the division we were in last season, where he scored 24 goald (i think?) is probably better overall than the spl mate.
