Whilst they won't openly admit it, Sky and all the other media parasites love (LOVE) players like this in a match.

Fuck the sport - ratings are all that count, matey, because higher ratings mean more viewers and more viewers mean more advertising revenue. More advertising revenue means bigger returns on investment for the shareholders.

Sky is not a charity and whatever draws in the viewers, and by default the advertisers, will be OK by the shareholders...

...and, yes, I do believe if they saw an income stream in it they'd have live abortions on one of their mainstream channels. They could call it "Who's The Daddy? Not YOU, pal...not now, not any more."

He's about to meet his nemisis every week in that league. They'll kick fucking lumps out of him! Good thing too

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
On 20 May 2008 he was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for common assault and affray during an incident in Liverpool City WHAT A CUNT
On 1 July 2008 he was also given a four months suspended sentence after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm on former teammate Ousmane Dabo during a training ground dispute on 1 May 2007
WHAT A CUNT
Barton has been charged with violent conduct three times by The FA: for the assault on Dabo, for punching Morten Gamst Pedersen in the stomach and for attacking three players on the final day of the 2011–12 season.
WHAT A CUNT
pretty much seems a right cunt to me

Joe - around the same number as times you've met me before calling me one earlier.

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
how many games does he get past by signing for them? I assume he has to train with them every day? This seems very counter productive, although he has finally found his pub level that his attitude and maturity deserves.

Exactly how many times did you met Joey Barton before you referred to him as a cunt

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
So making up what people can and cannot talk about as you go along then, as well as making assumptions on people you've never met?

How very WHO

*closes eyes and imagines the premier league without those 3*

Nope, would still be the most entertaining league in the world.

Warchild 9:09 Fri Aug 3
Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
Nope but I've seen the CCTV footage and heard the details in court from both sides, hence I can comment.

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
Think how boring the Premier League would be without Barton, Balotelli and Bellamy.

Darth Lemsip 8:56 Fri Aug 3
Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
So you were there for the incident you're talking about then?

Warchild 8:53 Fri Aug 3
Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
Typical comments from those with absolutely no life experience to them.

How would you react if you were pissed up and some chav made a comment about an emotive family issue? The majority of people would react make no mistake.

As for the other incidents, you weren't there so you can't comment.

I admit I forgot that.

He's not usually a nasty git out of control.

....

Not as nasty as Barton, anyway.

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
"He's like Bellamy in some ways" yeah, Bellamy's a bit out of control.

But he's not a nasty git out of control.

Yep, that's pretty much my thoughts on him Nicey and sums up why I don't like him.

Careful though, or royal will be along to judge you for judging him...

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
Nah I reckon it's because he stubs cigars out on kids eyes, smashing up people in town centres and getting sent off in games that could see his team relegated.

No matter how many times he quotes the smiths on twitter he will always be a scum bag, just born that way.

Re: Joey Barton - Fleetwood Town
He's like Bellamy in some ways (somewhat more extreme I must admit) but if he was signed, we would soon look past his behaviour. He is as BC says like a lot of people in teams I played in or against down the years (especially in the Essex and East London leagues) and looking for a punch up or whatever with everyone and anyone. Like a lot of games I remember against teams from Basildon, Rainham, Dagenham, Romford, Harold Hill, Ilford, East Ham etc... Punch ups, lamping the Ref. I can even remember one game with all 22 players going at it and another where a couple of players attacked the Ref with corner flags !!

Funniest thing I experienced was one team coming into our dressing room after the game and asking if we wanted to help "do" the Ref :) He was awful but that was the limit. We just laughed.

Yep, he's more like a lot us than we care to admit :) I guess its the fact he gets paid a sh*t load of money and has the word "professional" before his occupation. We resent the fact that he has a chance that we could only dream of but chooses to not respect that? But like I say, most would get over it if he was a West Ham player and started putting in good performances despite what they say.
