Borish Johnson inviting Rupert Murdoch to the Olympics

Says it all really.
A former Daily Mirror financial reporter who was jailed for for two months for his part in an insider trading scam has told the Leveson Inquiry phone hacking was widespread on the Labour supporting paper,
James Hipwell, who worked under Piers Morgan for The Mirror, received a six-month prison sentence in February 2006 for making nearly £41,000. He mentioned the stocks in the Daily Mirror's City Slickers column and then quickly sold them as values soared.
When asked whether there was anything that made him think Piers Morgan knew that phone hacking was taking place, he said it was very unlikely Mr Morgan did not know about the practice. Ed Miliband has distanced himself from the Labour supporting News Group.

All Boris has done is invite Murdoch to the games what about Ken Livingstone shaking hands with terrorists and welcoming them to London when he was mayor.
Thank god the london voters kicked Ken out.

I've got no problem with Boris inviting media leaders to an Olympic event, especially when the group was diverse including the editor of the Guardian. It's about time our politicians grew up and weren't reactive to every good/bad story out there.
Changing the post in the thread though is a bit out of order. Mildly amusing maybe, but not good all the same.

Did Rupert Murdoch himself know of the practices that were going on? Im not so sure. Would he have approved? Probably anyway.
The bottom line is that he is still an incredibly wealthy person that any politician would want in his pocket.

If a mod wants to comment on the fact that both parties have been linked to criminal newspaper people they should post on the thread under their name or start their own thread.

If some mod changes the original post to suit their own political bent, it doesnt say much about this site or any belief in freedom of expression.
In fact its right up the Murdochian propaganda bullshit approach.
Boris and Murdoch are a couple of utter cunts who deserve each other with the egotistical meglomanias and hate for humanity and people. Did someone really mod this original post as the story does not fit the headline. It would be interesting to know what the owners of the site plan to do over such abuse of power if true too.

I wonder why a mod can change the content of the original post? In many cases it is a useful ability when updating football issues and such like, but smacks of abuse when it comes to political ideology and the attempt to waterdown the original opinion.
I had a thread of my own disappear because of this. My supposed 'bigotry' was against the tories (this was the whomail), when in actual fact my minor point was directed against the lib dems.
I'm not bothered but some accountability and responsibility would be nice given that I contribute about 0.0000000000000000000000000001 pence in suffering the adverts here.
