In the majority of cases there is no money in other sports.
The likes of cavindish and Wiggins who are on top will make a decent living but your average cyclist, Rower, Sailing, runner etc etc would still rely on sponsorship and public funding to get by.
You can be an average footballer and still earn 20k+ a week.

Yes a lot of footballers are overpaid but to suggest the majority don't put in 100% is daft.
Blame the clubs and the TV money for the obscene amounts the players earn. Would you turn it down if offered?
In saying that, as proud and interested the public are at the moment, in 2 weeks time no one will give a toss about cycling, sailing, swimming and rowing. That's why there is no money in it.

Personally I'm delighted these over paid wankers are out. Team GB athletes, cyclist, rowerers etc are putting our footballers to shame. If they put as much effort into learning their trade as the others sports did we'd have a half decent team! Delighted they're out!

I am actually glad that we lost - After watching all of the pride that other Olympians have shown over the week and what it has meant to them to represent their country , it is pretty sickening that the Welsh contingent clearly decided between themselves that they would refuse to join in with the national anthem - Fuck them , fuck all of the overpaid cunts
