Car Alarm Issues

Got a bit of a problem in that my alarm is going off continually if i lock by the key remote. If i lock it manuall with the key all is ok. tell me what this can be you knowlegeable people of WHO.

I recently had a similar problem with my car.
It turned out to be leaves blocking the runoff channel under the grille in front of the wipers.
This caused water ingress and consequent alarm sounding. Cleared the channel - problem sorted.

My Car Alarm issue is thus:
Mine goes Beep Beep Beep HONK HONK Beep Beep Beep Honk
When ideally, Id like it to go HONK HONK HONK Beep Beep HONK Beep HONK
grrrr really gets my goat, its become a real car alarm issue for me

Probably only the fob arms the alarm, the key may not.
If it only plays up when armed, try shutting all the air vents in the car when you park. If no difference, try changing the car battery as they also work on current sensing and you may have an issue with battery voltage if its more than 5 years old.

It's a 530d touring E61
I've tried wiping my knob on it but alas it did not fix the issue!

Fob battery or fuse for the alarm? Also have you had a flat car battery lately?
First try taking the fuse in and out to see if that resets it, or could be battery on fob, otherwise I'd say it's broken and try wiping your knob on it?
