My son's involved in that scene and in that respect i'm not proud of him in the slightest - the people he mixes with look out for #1. Obviously they're all 'sort of the earth ' types who'd do anything for anyone but when the shit hits the fan they're the last people you'd want in your corner

Congratulations on having had a son in prison with your friends, you must be very proud.
Comparing pub landlords with drug dealers is ridiculous. Alcohol is a legal item that has certain regulations attached to it (not serving overly drunk people, people under 18 etc) which most pub landlords adhere to in as responsible way as possible.
Drug dealers deliberately exploit vulnerable people (whether users or runners) and couldn't care less about the impact on them or their family. They also bring extreme violence to our streets, far more extreme than a drunken punch up outside a pub at midnight.

Ramsgate has been out a while, he's a mate and a good bloke, was inside with my boy for a while.
Smithy is a decent lad as well, hope he's been ok while he's been away
"never mind the countless lives that drug dealers ruin" hope you take that same tone with pub Landlords otherwise you're a massive hypocrite.

I don't like drugs and dislike drug dealers. My brother died because of drugs.
I always hope anybody involved can turn their lives round and find a way out, as I always hoped for my brother.

How many WHO'ers have we got banged up?
Never met smithy, but he was a good poster on here. Used to make me chuckle. Hope he's ok, and any others who have got locked up. I spent some time working on a consultancy project in our prisons in the South, London and East Anglia a couple of years ago. Most of them are fucking horrible places to work in and visit, let alone get locked up in.
