When cristi ronaldo loses a step his goal scoring will fall off precipitously. my guess is 2 years ,but he seems to take good care of himself so maybe longer.

Rooney is not class. He's a thick Scouse cunt and must never be compared to really top drawer players like Charlton, Eusebio, and Pele. He's not fit to clean their boots, the over rated prick.
As you may have gathered, I don't like him.

77 in 92 international goals is an amazing stat but I suppose they were against the pub teams of international football, such as San Marino and Andorra?
Oh....

He may break his record, but unlike Pele he'll be retiring with no major international honours as Brazil are currently crap, so I think I know who'll be happier.

Forget his record, just look at the player, he was the complete footballer, score with either foot, or with his head and could create goals as well, plus he was a thoroughly nice bloke

Ha fair enough, I meant his club record, playing against pub teams in Brazil.
Neymar will smash peles international record in a couple of years anyway.

His record includes tour games and unofficial friendlies but even if you ignore them and just look at his club & country goals it's seriously impressive.

Reckon they take his 77 international goals in 91 games seriously colly.

Eusebio versus North Korea, was a fantastic game, NK go 3-0 up then Eusebio destroys them with four goals

Hard to take too much away from Pele, but I know a lot say he wouldn't have scored so many if he hadn't played his whole career in Brazil.
I think the people who say that though are cocks.
Still, my all time favourite Eusebio also averaged over a goal a game and I still have no idea why he's my favourite, as he'd probably retired by the time I was born. Videos of him getting kicked to fuck i nthe 66 world cup and just getting up and limping on are an embarrassement to today's play acting poofs,

wrighty 11:11 Thu Oct 1 Re: Tonight's football Rooney is class but doesn't have too many years left at that level. Ronaldo will play for longer
Rooney peaked at about 18, been in decline for a long time. Someone posted up a good article on him and Ronaldo the other day.

Ronaldo at 33... playing in the MLS...
How many goals a season?

Re: Tonight's football

Ronaldo is at his peak now IMO and I can't see him declining anytime soon, he really is just that much of a freak.
He's averaged 60 goals a season for the last five years, do you really think his scoring rate is gonna slow down that much over the next few years?
No doubt in my mind that if Ronaldo stays injury free he'll finish his career with over 750 goals.
