General election - 3 weeks campaign minimum - 2 weeks to fuck about after losing a motion of confidence/no confidence. She needs to wind down the clock until Friday.

The narrative of a mass exodus of City jobs has already been consigned to the Project Fear dustbin of history, with just 2,000 jobs now expected to move in the event of no-deal, compared to wild predictions of over 230,000 before the referendum. Now the FT of all places is reporting that EU asset managers are actually considering moving to the UK because of Brexit. That wasn’t in the script…

EU fund managers are up in arms over EU rules which would force them to trade dual-listed shares on uncompetitive EU exchanges after Brexit if the Commission refuse to give them access to London after Brexit. The German Investment Funds Association said that “without equivalence granted to UK trading venues, we see the real possibility of EU27 fund managers locating operations in the future in the UK”. London’s pull as the financial capital of the world is just too strong, whether the EU likes it or not…

"The EU Council said 'basic' air and road links would be maintained for at least several months to avoid a catastrophic collapse in ties after exit day on March 29. "

Ooops.

Orwell's tragedy
I think it's likely all the flights to German cities and unpopular destinations don't you? I'm sure an international airline based in the midlands was a great idea and such a shame Brexit ruined it for the very smart owners...

My cooker has all but packed up. One of rings - the only ring that got properly hot - is now tripping the RCD.

BECAUSE OF BREXIT.

"an average passenger count of 18 per flight....".....because of Brexit...

Yes it was probably Brexit that caused it happygilmore. Nothing to do with operating with an average passenger count of 18 per flight....

Well, cancelling Brexit is a big no-no, however many times the remainers click their heels together and wish really hard.

Asking for an unspecified delay won't get much change - 6 weeks to 3 months...maybe, but I think the whole nation is on the alert for a can being kicked down the road on this one, so she's got to tread carefully. When are the EU elections?

Re: EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron
Personally I doubt she's do that. Can you imagine the outrage from her pro-remain cabinet?

I've lost track of understanding what the incompetent woman is trying to do. She won't take 'No Deal' off the table but the pressure from remainers using 'No Deal' as an excuse for remaining in the EU must be getting unbearable for her.

If she puts a final nail in her own coffin by taking 'No Deal' off the table - remember 'No Deal is better than a Bad Deal' - her legacy in history will be one of complete incompetence beyond what even Major and Brown managed to achieve....

All May has to do now is take the ball to the corner flag and wind the clock down.

Will be interesting to see how many in her team give her support.

Re: EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron
Yes Mike especially as the EU will be bankrupted by the U.K. leaving with no deal.

Should be interesting to see who blinks first except the UK parliament is full of wankers like Gavros that will make up any excuse to deny democracy at work.

I hope voters remember any of the MPs that let them down.

And despite A50 being 100% an EU directive, they will still attempt to present it as the UK causing the problem.

Where is THEIR plan for this event happening? That's the standard thing to ask, is it not?

The EU, they are the problem as they will insist a customs boarder is set up.

Hmmm. Post Brexit, the UK government have NO INTENTION of putting up a hard border on the island of Ireland - fully respecting the GFA.

Who, where and what is the problem?
