Good question. However I see it as the everage worker. The large part of the bell curve of workers. Not bankers on €200,000 basic wage. However, in essence its the group of people who fuel the economy through their work and their spending.

Certainly, the elite running the country that has been educated in one or both of two schools is also “workers”.

Yet somehow I don’t reckon it is they who are out on the streets turning cars over.

I saw that utter cunt Tony Blair at websummit in Lisbon in November on stage with the ceo of Microsoft talking about the threats of technology and the role of government and he said

"If a potician like Nye Bevin were to time travel to today in London the vast majority of the World would be a complete mystery to him and yet if he walked into the houses of parliament he would feel perfectly at home"

The general concensus is thst the challenge for government in a World being completely changed by technology so huge Brexit is a tiny blip that will be consumed by the other challenges. In essence Brexit is an old person's worry and the issues of technology are more of a younger person's concern as people lose jobs or get poorer or are tracked by businesses and government etc.

He's a cunt but more switched on than 95% of most politicians.

The French riots are largely about Frexit which has of course been played down.

Irrespective of Brexit opinion, who wants to listen to, let alone see, that utter cunt Blair spouting off?

The anti globalisation/monetarism movement is growing quickly. Going to be a big struggle for the EU.

I don't think I am being a drama queen Mike. The banking crisis 11 years ago showed the kind of thing that could happen. Labour v Tory is all about the workers v the bosses & wealthy.

Automation will mean the only workers in future will be robots and they don't pay tax...

Don't be such a drama queen.

Certain individuals have got too much personal wealth at risk to allow a collapse. They'll allow just enough to be done to protect their own fortunes/income, but it won't be the end of the world.

Naturally, Brexit will get the blame, but remainers would blame that for the rings around Saturn, if they felt they could get away with it.

I'd think about diversifying my liquid assets though - a stable commodity and at least 2 currencies; a third in each.

Re: EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron
It occurred to me this morning while listening to Mrs May giving a slagging to Tony Blair about him talking to the EU about promoting a 2nd referendum, that I couldn't trust either of those two scumbags.

One is leading us to BINO and the other wants Brexit cancelled. Shame that we don't have a leader committed to straightforward leaving which I'm sure is what was actually voted for.

I honestly think Brexit won't happen now and it will all lead to a violent shift to a new political system. The left v right argument is just so irrelevant to really big issues facing the 21st century. Virtually the whole of Europe and the west is spending more than it is possible for taxation to pay for and another financial crash is inevitable.

We all know the problems but no-one has an answer that will work. That's because historic answers cannot cope with 21st century problems. If an answer isn't found soon it'll be the end for humanity as we know it...

That's trade between blocs, Coffee.

What does the EU actually BUY that gives it this claimed "vast purchasing power".
