Stupid talking about the utter destruction of a party, especially a long established party, but in fact people who are inclined to vote a particular way will vote that way regardless.

It is important for a party to always be relevant and looking to the future. Our leading parties struggle with this seeming old fashioned and outmoded. Can the modern youngish voter relate at all to the likes of Corbyn or JRM?

Ros McMullen has announced her intention to retire this summer. She has worked for 19 years as a headteacher, principal and executive principal and is a founder member of @HeadsRountable:
“I never intended to retire before reaching 60, but I’m going "early" this summer. The reasons are many: some personal......but it would be disingenuous not to admit that there is a part of me that has simply had enough of having to do more with less, unintelligent and damaging accountability systems, constantly moving goalposts and supporting outstanding headteachers who are treated as the whipping boys for all the failings of social policy. As heads, we have to witness more families thrown into poverty, cuts to every service designed to support them, school budgets squeezed and endless demands that schools "close the gap" caused by disadvantage in the first place. This is nonsense: utter nonsense.”

They are seeing the utter destruction of the Tories. At least for the moment.

How is that not a good thing for the future of the Nation if you are Labour?

After8 Rodgerings is not trying to be right about the economy. He doesn’t give a fuck about the economy. All he is interested in is the uneducated dolt vote so he posts what they want to read.

Labour have played this game for years and are also fucked, which is only right.

Well hold on Keel, May compromised and have labour what they wanted and they still wouldn’t support her.

There’s compromise and then there’s playing politics and what labour are doing by trying to be all things to all people is playing politics with our nations future.

How the fuck is respecting the vote plus both sides of the argument not standing up for the country?

Why are we in this mess in the first place?

Farage is the creation of the populist media to cater to the complexes and frustrations of the working class baby-boomers. They had started voting Tory following Thatcher’s revolution not because they believed in the free market and capitalism, but because of the papers they read told them what they wanted to hear about crime, sex, sport and foreigners, including the EU.

May was charged with keeping that vote onside with her handling of the Brexit referendum. She’s made a massive balls-up of it and Farage is still a loose cannon smashing up the system with the weight of the populist vote. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing if he had anything at all to offer his voters, but he patently does not.

So you admit keel that they’re deliberately sitting in the middle not out of what’s right for the country but for political reasons and party self interest and yet you have the cheek to berate the conservatives?

You’ve got some front, I’ll give you that.

The Tories always think they are the party of the economy but the nearest any of them get to understanding the economy is the tax free asset that is the home of of their core supporters. That's how they bribed the working class Essex man.

No I think Labour need to carry on as they are. If they pick a side they lose the next GE - which is why those who want Corbyn gone want him to pick a side.

I've spent ten years detoxifying this party. It's been a bit like renovating an old, old house, yeah? You can take out a sexist beam here, a callous window there, replace the odd homophobic roof tile. But after a while you realise that this renovation is doomed. Because the foundations are built on what I can only describe as a solid bed of cunts.

Queens of course we are worried about both it my point was that brexit impacts labour too and our polling collapse came after March 29tj when Farage could come for us and scream betrayal.

We aren’t suddenly going to be at 40% again. We need to deliver brexit and we need an agenda which shows that only the economy can be trusted with us as you need a strong economy to have good public services.

When we campaign on the economy we win but when we put out a manifesto which basically sets fire to our own voters we lose.
