NFL (since 2016)
Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent.

Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB,

Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt.

lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
The Eagles are falling apart.

Desean Jackson, a man who got paid £8 million last year for doing nothing, has quoted Hitler on the Jews*. Malik Jackson is supporting Desean citing well known anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, Marquis Godwin and Alshon Jeffrey have chimed in saying he shouldn't have to apologise, and presumably anyone not in line with the latest thinking from the Nation of Islam, is keeping their head down.

They won the Superbowl off the back of an incredible locker room and they are a mess.

The problem is recruitment too. Only one of those was on the roster for the Superbowl win and he should have been got rid of last year.

*He thought it was Hitler but it turned out that the quote was mis-attributed.

If there’s an NFL season, I’d be up for a fantasy league again, thanks cf.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
I'd love to get involved with a fantasy league this year. I've never done it before and would most likely lose interest if I am crap, and wouldn't want to let those down who put effort in.

I'm happy to make up the numbers if needed, but I'm just putting that warning out there!

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Id like to but I don't think I'll be able to sit through all the politicis in the NFL this year so I might give it a pass. Shame as I enjoyed that last year.

The other thing is his earning capacity outside if the Chiefs contract if he continues to be successful. From that point of view, the Brady model is sound economics.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
I'd imagine it'll still be the richest contract in sport, so he'll be alright!

I agree, mahomes comes across as a decent bloke and would prefer a strong team around him rather than crippling the budget with crazy demands. it's rare that an agent isn't controlling him, but good to see

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Looks like the Chiefs and Mahomes are going down the Patriots route.? Don’t think Brady was ever the league highest payed QB.Means the wealth can be spread around. And hopefully keep a couple other elite players already on the roster. Wise move all round. Good luck to them.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
That's exactly my thoughts Crystal. Huge amount of money but in a few years he will be overtaken by half rhe league's QBs.

On the upside, he has a long term contract and I think the only way out for rhe Chiefs is injury and he still gets a $150 million guarantee then.

If he does lose form, he wkll be quids in.

If not and he stays fit for 10 years, he loses out.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Sounds like 450M over 10 years.

Seems like a strange one for mahomes, 45m per year will be average money for a QB in 3-5 years the way its going, not sure why you'd agree to be tied down for so long.

Good on them but hope the can keep a decent O-line around him. Short term they could do with getting Chris Jones signed up too.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Mahomes signs a 10 year deal with the Chiefs. Haven't seen the financials of it, bit of expect it's a mental amount of money.

And he's probably worth every cent of it.

Absolute joke, with FedEx pulling the strings.

If they pull their sponsorship the skins will struggle to get anyone else sponsoring them which is bollocks as well.

World is fucked.

Need to stick all these woke cunts on an island where they can just wank each other off and leave us normal people alone.

Me. I'm totally against it. That's why I said what I said about the native Americans view of it.

If they change their name, it will be a surrender monkey move. I wasn't taking the piss when i said that. Anyone bowing to the mob is spineless.

Washington is a home game for The Birds. It’s like West Ham at any London game in the 80s. Eagles here, Eagles there, Eagles fucking everywhere.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
calm down hermit, we'll never surrender to your no good cunt team, and the only reason the shitbag snyder would even consider this is money. no other reason. every sport is committing commercial suicide bowing down to this left wing shit but this is what happens when a tail wagging the dog, in regard to the influence nike has in most sports
