NFL (since 2016)
Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent.

Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB,

Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt.

lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all.

Oh fuck, no!

I don't want to see us implode in the dressing room - as well as on the pitch. Again!

Go to Houston or somewhere pointless instead.

Hasn't the Hard Knocks announcement normally been made by now?

Me personally, I have fingers crossed for the Jets.

Jim Brown was a titan in that sport. Any sport. Decades ahead of his time. Just an unbelievable player. Incredibly sad that he’s passed.

Scorchio

Jim Brown - a man for whom great and legend are not hyperbole - at college a star in football, basketball and lacrosse. Later an actor and activist - even Richard Pryor went to him for counsel - too late unfortunately.

RIP

Oh shit that's a shame, one of the greatest if not THE greatest RB of all time.

Was great in the Dirty Dozen as well.

RIP

Can't believe that fee for the Commanders.

But I bet the fans are doing cartwheels finally getting rid of Snyder.

Let's hope the Jets, and the Johnson & Johnson shampoo-ers, are next out the door.

Shame he’s too late to buy chelsea. Would be hilarious.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
scorch, yes the curse is almost over. It's been a very miserable (almost) twenty four years under his ownership. various scandals, interference in the draft process, financial irregularities, etc. no idea what josh harris will be like, but at least we have a chance now to rebuild

I'll repeat what I said before, it was mentioned by a couple of our fan channels (most of which are very good) that he was potentially looking to get out of the US and relocate here to avoid potential legal issues he may face. with that, he may reinvest some of that money on a PL club. let's hope it's not us

Looks like Danny boy has found a buyer for the commanders. $4.8 billion.

Enjoyed that, cheers Norf. Amazing to think that an entire career can come from knobbing about in the street with the one kid with a ball - we played in the playground at school but none of us made it past that. It reminded me of when we hear stories of African footballers who started out kicking a can about in the dust!

Good to see my brother gets the first round pick
I don’t really know anything about college football so no idea on our picks but he seems very happy. Filled 3 needed position.
Surprised we got a TE in round 2 instead of a OT but with shultz going in free agency we did need one.
Def need to beef up the O line especially with smiths injury record and probably a corner back and maybe a running back maybe even a QB. Everything I’ve read says the draft goes very deep in most positions except the D line.
Eagles got two top players but the best one seems a complete loon.
Like the look of Bijon shame we couldn’t trade up would have liked to see the best running back in the draft with Pollards injury and zeke getting released.

It wasn't me that brought up the C word!

It was very much said tongue in cheek.

I hope that gets Goldie woken up, OTB.

He's much more amusing compared to the likes of me when talking about things like the big increase in heart disease deaths (source: British Heart Foundation) since the covid jab was pretty much forced on to the public.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Sorry FC - it's a conspiracy theory that he's dead, killed by the COVID vaccine. The usual types are all over it on Twitter. The 'proof' was that he hadn't been seen in public and that none of his medical care was shared in public (which it wouldn't have been). Any subsequent public appearances were dismissed as a body double.

So unless this body double turned out to be a pretty decent safety, I'd say he's not dead.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Sadly that isn't true. I've been reliably informed on Twitter that he's dead.

OTB, are you sure, there's nothing in the news?
